Before taking any pills, check your vitamin deficiencies, especially if your symptoms came out of nowhere. Psychiatrist wanted me on 4 different pills but i refused to take them, and it took 2 months for me to find out I was vitamin D and B1 deficient. I started supplementing and everything went away. 2 months of unnecessary suffering, anxiety and depression, insomnia, and now I have a little PTSD because my mind went into places it wasn’t supposed to. I am learning to forget the time when I thought for sure I was broken..

You say to "shop for a therapist". Ok, but the mere act of getting out of the house to get to an appt can take more energy than you have. To "shop" and then explain to another therapist can be too daunting. Your advice is only good for when you are already partially emerging from the black hole.

Being a stepdad is a waste of time, money and energy. They will end up being disrespectful. You are not their parent and you never will be there so many women who don’t have baggage she got rid of someone. She had a child with think how easy she will get rid of you.

Dont do it. I devoted 8 years to trying to be there when their boo father was literally nonexistent. Wife was bipolar. sometimes shed want me to step up n discipline and shame me if i wouldnt, other times shed shame me and undermine me in. Front of the kids buolding this lastingbompression in kids minds that im not to be taken serious. It was my house and i had very basic simple rules to whoch none were ever followed. She would flame me on frpntbof the kids when im addressong the issue of them slamming doors or being disrespectful etc etc. Over tye years things got so outta hand to make it short that her 14 yr old was callin her and myself vulgar names. Taking our vehicles when we were asleep. Gettong caught with drugs, bullying, breaking things. Destroying things on the home. I could go on forever. But end result was last week i came hone to a cleared out house with a hasty email telling me she filing for divorce due to the conflict between me and her now 15yr old. And her refusing to get on sane page with me n rather choosing to sweep things under rug when got tough vs facong the issues as a parent. Also on divorce papers i just recoeved shes seeking half of my homes equity and even half of a 200k$ insurance claim o recoeved a year ago that resulted from losing my right eye. And i put that money alll back into paying off all her and my own debt credit cards and all and the rest put into home repairs etc. RUN AWAY. TRUST ME.

The key in this presentation as I got it, is that you still have the control to weather worsen or improve your symptoms! Can’t go to the gym => bad decision 🤣🤣

Antidepressants don’t work for the majority of people and still kill people. That’s why there are black box labels on many of them. They increase the risk of suicide and have horrible withdrawal symptoms and side effects.

I've spoken to female doctor, female nurses and a female paramedic who are all taking antidepressants, they have all had therapy but still need the medication. If people in the medical field still rely on medication, how do we cure ourselves just by thinking it gone!

You gotta just go through the withdrawl periods and want off of whatever it is youre taking. It is how I beat heroin addiction. I was an addcit for 5 years. Been clean for 12 years. I quit by myself cold turkey because I truly wanted it. I think its the best way for anything. Just go through the week or two of hell and its better on the other side. The groups, therapy, or other drugs to treat the first addiction is what keeps people in the cycle. I disagree with the groups or other drugs to get off of drugs. Another thing is to cut off and distance yourself from anyone that does the drug youre trying to defeat.

I woke up with depression 2 years ago and it has not left me. I have it every day when I wake up. No meds have worked. 31 ECT and nothing. This is not psychological. Something chemical is going on. I had a great life. I’m worried that because how I feel and my current personality is gonna infect my child. I don’t want to contaminate the child.

I listened to the entire lecture, and I think the most relatable thing he said was: Every depression is different and every treatment is different. Which is the humblest he has been in the lecture. He then went on and generalized some common rules, like: Don't make decision based on what you feel! For example, work out even if you're not feeling like doing it. Which is... I dunno. Seems like oversimplification equal to Nike's slogan: Just do it! If you could scream on any depressed person: Just do it! therapy would be much easier. Generally, I had the feeling (see? Feeling) that he talks more about depressed people then for depressed people. At the end of the lecture he had some good general pointers, such as work out, do things for fun, learn to relax... All good advices. So all in all - decent lecture. If anyone got something from it and found it helpful then it did its job. Me? I don't "dig" it. Different therapists for different people I guess.

Im single dad, dated girls with no kids, but felt like they weren’t ready to be a wife & they weren’t responsible as the single mothers so my question is, is it better choice to date a single mother since I have a child of my own & share similar activities with our kids or struggle to create another family, this kind of videos don’t really answer my question, if I didn’t had a kid then obviously I would go for a girl with no kids but for single parents it’s not easy to just go for someone that don’t know how to be a parent. Someone talk to me about this what’s you’re opinion?

Be very careful...as you age, the system cannot wait to "diagnose" you and begin a "mental health" file going on you. It will help them make critical decisions and assume legal rights and establish jurisdiction over your life and your right to make decisions for yourself. They will remove one liberty after another under the guise of "care." Not everyone who claims to "care" about you really does. Don't be naive or narrow minded about that. Learn to manage every aspect of your life. Don't be quick to turn that over to others. Remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Old age homes are horror chambers for the elderly who have no relatives or family support...but do have a Social Security check they can get at. And they know the neglect that takes place every single day in these places! It is kept out of sight and out of mind until they have you on their radar and in their sights. It is tragic what elderly people are suffering through at these places. It's enough to depress anyone. Nurture and guard your own critical thinking about such topics. This is not "paranoia"... this is being aware of WHAT IS! Accept the fact that you are going to get depressed now and then. Why? Because you are a thinking, feeling human being who comes to realize that you live in a world where there is a lot of hurt. It's the down side of life. And it's ok as long as you remind yourself that there are still good things too.
