I just paid 40 bucks for one new , I use MPC2 software and it’s like a mpc using the pads plus a keyboard . The pads even play chord progression like the mpc 🤯

forget the app, get pro and you have the cheapest option for an mpe controller in the market. the rest you do in your DAW anyway. so used properly it is a piece of pro gear indeed. with better build quality than erea or seaboard rise (which cost three and four times the joué pro price).

@@ifincstudios Yes, when buying it on some store like amazon, Thomas etc. they all sell only the basic play version. If you buy it directly at the manufacturer site, the play and pro stuff is explained and can be chosen. But for people outside Europe I don't know how the shipping and custom stuff adds on top. here in Germany its around the corner and shipping is only around 10 Euro or so and no custom fees. The whole Pro upgrade thing is a bit misleading indeed, I agree. The whole iPad-Basic thing gives it that hobbyist vibe. But in fact, in terms of MPE, in my eyes it is literally the cheapest option you have by far. And with a solid metal caee and real wood, made in France not in China and made from sustainable mazterials etc. even the price point is quite awesome. The next option is the Erna touch (made in China) vor 800,- plus shipping and for 1.200,- the new seaboard rise 2, which seems to be the same crappy quality like their stuff before. Overprizesd China crap. And the next would be the Linnstrument or the Haken, which cost even more but for great build quality. Thats pretty much it in terms of MPE. The McMillan stuff, ok. Not worth to mention. So in case the poly touch of the ASM Hydrasynth Explorer is not enough and the GeoShred on the iPad does not give you the right expression haptic, the Joué Play pro is quite the best choice you have. Especially with the Keys Pad (not the Piano) and the Chords Pad. Those give you controls for your daw vsts (or hardware synths) that you definitely dont get with launchpads or key steps and the other regular stuff. The core purpose of Jouè Pro is that MPE power for which its quite unique especially at that price point (and build quality).
