Thank you for this video. It’s been an increasingly stressful end to an already stressful year. I recently acquired a full time job, something I have not had since graduating from university. I start in January, which means that for the entirety of 2024 I was trying to make ends meet between part time work, side hustles, etc. Needless to say it has been exhausting, and faced with the upcoming holidays I have very little spare cash to spend on gifts for my loved ones. I have been doing work on myself and practicing keeping my attention on the present moment to stay focused, process my emotions, and cope with the struggle that this year has been. But now with only 2 weeks left in the year, I find that the present moment is stressful, and that I don’t know how I’m even going to make it through to the new year. I keep wanting to jump forward to 2025 where I’m employed and all of my problems have magically gone away, as silly as I know that sounds. I’m trying to take the bad with the good, and not run from the parts of life that scare me. Your videos have helped me immensely in the past month to relax and remember to breathe and experience the present moment. I saw that I was one of the first viewers on this one and felt compelled to share. As both an artist and someone who listens to asmr, I find great peace listening to your channel. Know that what you are doing here is helping, somehow.

Hey Sam, thanks for your message. I totally feel you! It seems like we never get to rest in life and take a break, constantly managing and doing stuff. After all, that's what we've been taught to do-that life is not now, but in some future that will never come. The struggle is very real and relatable, and I'm happy to hear that you are facing it head-on as opposed to escaping from it. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the struggle is the only thing that leads us to "liberation" and inner peace. To look it straight in the eyes and see that it is just a phantom, conjured up by a rift in our mind caused by the so-called education we received as children. As an artist, do you feel like you're in touch with the authentic version of you when you're creating? The unconditioned? I’ve always felt that this was my anchor to sanity. Thanks again for sharing. And yes, it does help. 😊 We grow together in peace! ❤️

Thank you for your video Antonio. I am learning Buddhism and still trying hard to awaken. I am anxious quite a lot particularly about losing my job and not being good enough and afraid of failing at work. Do you know how I can get over this? Thank you 🙏
@AntonioVitoloCreates9 күн бұрын
Hey Marvo, First of all, I’m really grateful for your message, and I deeply appreciate you sharing your story. I also think Buddhism (especially Zen Buddhism) is particularly profound when it comes to waking up from the illusion of the “I.” Let me tell you this: Don’t try to awaken. Don’t force yourself to achieve anything. Don’t resist your anxiety or fears. Simply watch. Observe them as you would watch a flock of birds flying past in the sky-just take note. I know this can be challenging. The “ego” is that which wants to force, achieve, or know-all essentially attempts to stay in control. To observe means to become aware of the activity of your mind and no longer engage with it. It means seeing that you are not your thoughts but the one who observes them. Anxiety and the fear of failure often stem from how you were brought up, shaped by inner voices of doubt and negativity, by trying to please others or live up to their expectations. That self-image is what you’re living through now. Your only “job” is to see it for what it is. Behind all that noise is the real you. It took me a long time to see this myself-a long process of peeling back layers of conditioning. Patience is key. Don’t be hard on yourself. Just watch, and you will get there. Expect no miracles or specific states to happen. Just become fully aware of your inner world. Everything else will fall into place. When? Nobody knows, and that’s not your concern. No pressure, my friend. Be kind to yourself. You are already enlightened. There’s just a storm passing through, temporarily clouding your inner vision. ❤

@ thank you so much Antonio ❤️. Thank you for taking the time to respond and to reply so thoughtfully. I was crying while reading this. You are very kind. I think I am very lucky to have found your videos and to get your response. Yes it’s hard just to observe. I didn’t realise that trying to awaken is driven by my anxiety as well. I realise I lack what you say here and in another of your videos - patience and acceptance and self love. Words I have heard many times before but have never really understood they apply to how I treat myself not just others. I will keep practicing just to observe and think about what you have written. Deeply I thank you 🙏

No worries my friend. ☺️ We‘re not alone on this journey. Since you mentioned that you’re exploring Buddhism, I really recommend that you check out Zen Mind, Beginner‘s Mind by Shunryu Suzuki. It‘s so simple and beautifully written and it really helped me a lot in my life. All the best to you! ❤️
@jmarvo9 күн бұрын
@ thank you Antonio for the recommendation I will check it out! I got into Buddhism from a book called “When Things Fall Apart” by Pema Chodron a Buddhist nun - that book helped me a lot with my anxieties and started my interest in Buddhism. Thank you again 😊

Hello Antonio, your videos have made me think about my life and how I have struggled with my emotions for so long. As an adult I feel like I don’t have the time to be ‘still’ and I am often not showing my true self. So I am now trying to embrace that. I believe that life is a hallucination that needs to be balanced, but most humans are unbalanced and this is where the problems are. Survival is the meaning of life and anything that threatens that causes an emotional response that we don’t always need.
@AntonioVitoloCreates11 күн бұрын
Hey Lucy, so happy for your comment and I‘m even happier to hear that you are now reconnecting with your true self. And well said; balance indeed is key and we can maintain balance if we truly look into ourselves and at what we‘ve been holding onto. Life is above all a wonderful experience that we get to witness. We can transcend our perceived limitations. Let‘s drop all the baggage and start living this absolutely beautiful dream. Thanks for sharing your message.❤️🙂

@AntonioVitoloCreates20 күн бұрын
Hey Homer 😉, Thanks so much! First of all, I absolutely love Old School Death & Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal-mostly from the 80s to late 90s. When I’m at work, I tend to go for Drone and Ambient works, like Eliane Radigue, Norman Westberg (Swans), or minimal compositions by artists like Morton Feldman. I’m also a huge admirer of Prog-Rock in all its forms (Zeuhl, Kraut, etc.). Lately, I’ve been listening to King Crimson, Magma, Eskaton, Cluster, Popol Vuh, and Ashra (Manuel Göttsching). What about you? I’m always open to suggestions and love discovering new music!
