$47? The polish is only $8.45 at this moment and is much easier than replacing the rear back case.

Just bought myself a 1st generation iPod touch that has a lot scratches & scuff’s I’m going to buy some of that mag & aluminum polish & see if I can get the scratches out to bring it back to life.

You probably only need two goes. First pass just to see how well it was working and then second time rubbing and going a bit deeper. But also wait a minute or two with the chemical on the surface to help oxidise the metal before buffing it off. You shouldn’t need to rub it off that hard either.

I use a cheap hand dremel with the buffing wheel makes it a faster process and gets a mirror finish I touch up my stainless Apple Watch every month or so and keeps it fresh out of the box looking

Thank you for your amazing video! Is there a buffer that you can recommend that I can use the same polish with a drill? I have an iPod classic 3rd generation that has a very hazy screen, I'm afraid to mess it up do you think I can use the same polish for the front?
@ThatDudeArvai
@ThatDudeArvai Жыл бұрын
I would recommend finding a plastic polish for the front, as I think this polish would be to abrasive. As far as a buffer goes, a small Dremel with a buffing tool would work great for this. I was simply using what I had on hand.

The only strange thing is that there was a lot of black... stuff coming from the logo when I polished both my classic and my nano. My theory is that these things were so old that a bunch of grime had built up in the laser engraving. Either way, both the logo and the text are just fine.

It’s very common for this to happen on older cars from the 90’s or what have you. As cars get older, the ignition switches tend to ware out like that. My first job had a 1996 Ford Econoline E250 Cargo Van, and the ignition was also worn out like this, as well.

that's a very common problem with a lot of General Motors products over the years two things could cause this you could have a warrant out key or you have a warrant out ignition that needs to have it be rekeyed back to your original key again and cut a couple of new keys and everything would be fine not uncommon just make sure you're ignition locks when you turn it back otherwise somebody could steal your car rather easily
