I use a lot of rebate apps and collect soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap, razors, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and make family gift baskets for Christmas.

One quick idea....take a Dollar Store whisk, fill it with Hershey Kisses, wrap in Saran wrap, add a bow. There are printable labels that say "We whisk you a Merry Kissmas." Those make great teacher, neighbor, mailperson gifts.

One Christmas, I made potato soup in a jar for neighbors. I remember it took instant mashed potatoes, dry milk, chicken bouillion powder, and I don't remember what else. Also, look up 3 2 1 mug cakes. Take 1 cake mix, any flavor, and 1 angel food cake mix. Mix then together, and when ready to make a mug cake, take 3 TBSP of the mix, 2 TBSP of water, mix well in a mug, then microwave for 1 minute. Also. look up Red Hot Apple Crisp. I forget right now what it took, but it is a similar quick mug dessert. Once you start looking online, you will find all kinds of things like that, and most have labels to print off.

Only 87 days until Christmas! We made seasoning mixes and gave for Christmas one year but no one used them. They were dupes for the restaurants they would go to. Good luck.

Popcorn flavoring (put in a dollar store salt shaker, could make up a baggie with a package of microwave popcorn) I'm your age, Granny, and have been crafting all my life, and selling things for almost 50 years. I have found that some folks are funny about buying homemade food products, and some craft shows are real particular about having food licenses. I find that I have trouble selling things at a price point of $5 and up. My selling philosophy has been "I'd rather sell 10 things at $1 each than sit with a $10 item that nobody will buy." Not to say you'll never sell a more expensive item, bur inexpensive things have been my bread and butter through the years. Good luck with your crafting and selling adventure! I wish you well!

I'm making beaded pens, they cost me about $1 buying on Amazon, I can charge $5-7. Easy and quick. I'm also making jar openers, dollar tree has the grippy fabric, I use scrap material from thrift stores for the top, my cost is about 50 cents, sell for $2-3. I'm also doing goodie bags with dollar tree socks (candy, pop tarts, chips brands) add the coordinating snack, my cost $2-3, sell for $4-5. Good stocking stuffer or teacher gifts

Good morning I just purchased small 1.5 oz bottles form amazon Canada they worked out to 60 cents each cdn. maybe 45 usa. I am going to use these for herbal creams. bees way, oil and a dried herb there are lots of rec on you tube and take these to a Christmas chow Colleen you could also buy fancy thrift store cups and saucers.. I saw someone was making pretty candles in the tea cups. people do not really want these cups for tea but as a decoration and a candle. they could be teacher gifts,

I have made hanging bird feeders from cups and saucers I bought at the thrift stores. Tilt the cup and glue it to the center of the saucer. I used e6000 glue. Use a ribbon to hang from the cup handle. Bird seed goes inside the cup and pours onto the saucer. Birds have a place to land on the saucer edge. If you could get pretty bags cheap, it could be packaged ready to give. You may be able to get a good price for them. Our craft group at church also glued cups to saucers and filled them with potpourri. We gave them to the ladies for Mother's Day. They loved them. I think vintage or holiday cups and saucers would be attractions at a craft sale. I have made lighted snowman ornaments using battery tealights from the Dollar Tree. A plate glued to a bowl turned upside down makes a pretty pedestal serving dish. It would cost $2.50 and take a few minutes to make it.

If you can find a recipe for rolled out sugar cookie dough, if you can find thrift holiday cookie cutters to attach one or two to your mix bag, it would be cute and attractive to people. Many years ago, I crocheted cotton drawstring pouches to put soap in for the bath, and they sold like hotcakes. Do you sew? What about making cute potholders? Barbie or stuffed animal style clothes for children's toys? Do up a few pre-made gift baskets with your mixes in them to sell. What about seasoning mixes for spreads or dips where you just have to add sour cream or cream cheese? I can just see a little serving bowl with a bag of dip mix in it and a spreader or serving spoon, all wrapped in cellophane with a bow as a little hostess gift. Homemade gingerbread house or gingerbread man kits for Christmas baking? What about a jar with utility candles and a book of matches in it, and on the inside of the jar lid, you can hot glue a pipe cap to act as the candle holder. Fancy up the jar lid in some way and attach a bow with a Bible verse like "Let your light so shine.." and it's a cute emergency light kit. Sew up little drawstring bags and put things like band-aids, nail clippers, a needle and thread, spot remover sachets, etc...and call them boo-boo bags for the purse.

I have those books!! I love them. I made a steak rub to give to family for Christmas last year. I started making bookmarks out of old calendars and gift bags to give to friends. People have suggested I should sell them. I dunno. 🤷‍♀️ If you decide to make some things, let us know! I’d love to see what you come up with ☺️ Have a great weekend!

I have made homemade hard candy. It basically takes sugar, Karo syrup, and flavoring. I like the Lorann flavorings. You can often find them at craft stores, such as Micheals and Joann's. You can just pour it into a metal square pan, break it into bite size pieces and shake it with a bit of powdered sugar and put in ziploc bags.

Granny, what about a hot chocolate mix with mini marshmallows? You could add a $1 mug to some and charge a little more. People these days would love to pick several up for grab bag gifts, etc. Instant gift! All they have to do is wrap it! Maybe you have a few mugs you don't use. Sounds like a lot of fun to be in the craft show. Something different.
