The thing that I Don't like about audient is the level of gain. It's too low.

@@billysilverio9336 the preamps provide up to 58db of gain and you can add an additional 10db with the id mixer software but nowadays even entry level interfaces are getting 65-72db of gain so I definitely mentioned that in my full review. Hopefully Audient can improve that in newer generations.

@@FranciscoMgwedula do you mean DAW? If so, there isn’t a “correct” answer because it comes down to many factors. If you’re a Mac user I would recommend Logic Pro which is what I use. It’s a one time payment you’ll own it for life. If you’re a PC user and like subscriptions, Pro Tools. If you don’t like subscriptions, then Reaper. Dont have money to start? I bought the original iD14 because of the audio quality and expandability for a home studio... I can see how if you are a content creator with great need for up front processing and mixing for live programming, that this machine won't fit those needs. However, if you want pristene audio and ease of use for studio work, I love this machine... I set up my cue mix for recording and then with the press of a button, I'm back to the main mix for listening... I do like all the new features on the MKII but the sound quality is basically the same, so I'm gonna hold on to my 4 year old original... The interface I might upgrade to is the ID24 which has inserts for processing and a true line level input for external preamps and other line devices...
