Please how do non profit making organizations use this template to reconcile their cashbook with bank statement?

@@KyosuonteySeiAbraham you can definitely use it as a non-profit. Record your cash transactions on the transaction sheet… follow the steps explained in the video and you will be good to go. If you have a specific concern do not hesitate to reach out. Just to state, I plan to launch an automated template for NGOs in a week or less. You can keep tab on my channel to get notified when it is out.

@ I do not get what you mean here… You enter transaction on a daily basis into your books. At the end of the month or at any month you want to reconcile you either demand for statement from the bank or you download it if your organization has access to internet banking platform. I will advice you download in excel for easy navigation.

If you have main accounts and sub accounts, you have to include that in your charts of accounts and create a column for that. Thank you for the feedback

Thank you for the lecture, ma. However, why did you use the Charts of Account to prepare your trial balance instead of the Journal Entries sheet? Can't we have our trial balance on the Journal Entry sheet instead?

Glad you got value… Looking at the journal entry sheet, you will notice there is a control that ensures every transaction entry balances off. In regards to your question, the trial balance can also be generated from the journal entries. This we did using the chart of account which makes up our general ledger. You can also generate on a different sheet if you so wish. It is not cast on stone. Thank you for engaging.
