Thanks for sharing, this brings back so many memories. Grew up in NJ, played in marching band, and we were always in awe of the Bergenfield band (early 80's). Now living the marching band life through my son on Long Island.

That's really awesome! I went to BHS and watched all my friends do band and they loved it. Hoped my son would do it, but he loved the violin. Then to our surprise, he was asked to play violin in the marching band this year! He is having the best time! :)

Jennifer Murray , that is great. I am heavily involved with a youth orchestra here. Playing music, whether band, orchestra, or choir, is great. Also, violin in marching band, what? Did I miss that, is he in the pit? I must rewatch. My son plays tuba, so he does band and orchestra.

Jennifer Murray I'm with some of the top string players on Long Island every week, and I have to say he has a lovely sound! Very nice, and how rare in a MB. If you go to about 2:15 in this video, after they fan out, my son is 2nd sousaphone from the left. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKack2adiZ2agqs

Oh and I was a flute there but I was in front of mr milford so u saw me from the side only. Mr Mulford (our band director) said that we were sooooooooo good that it was the best 6th grade concert ever and we made RWB history!!!!
