This place used to be packed and busy. Not at all anymore. Sears Luby’s etc. gone and not coming back.

Thanks, I typically film content with more ambient and natural sounds and limit self dialogue unless I have to. May try doing more vlog style videos though in the future.

This city is so clean, I challenge you to fine trash on the sidewalk! I have seen a parade go through and by that evening no trash can be seen. Homeless is kept in check.

I love the concept, certainly inspired by the typical mercado central in Latin America cities. If you visit SA, you certainly need to try fresh tortillas. Deliciosas! 😅

8:13 That corridor didn't exist back in the 80s/90s. There was just more food court restaurants. Threw me for a loop when I went for a visit decades later.

I think that VisionWorks used to be Pearle Vision. It's amazing how 3 + decades later & it's still a place selling glasses. Must be in the contract or something.

I used to live in S Austin for 20 years. I live in Houston now. Being a subscriber of @Mellow Man Walks he has made many great videos of the San Antonio, area. Watching many of his videos of the river-walk and marketplace and not being able to travel to SA like I had before, his videos take me back to the day and all the great memories. Too many to count. I was looking at some of your older videos and wondered if you, which I did not see, make a video starting point at the Pearl beer something or another (not sure of the name) and walked this whole new area of the riverwalk, coming from the back end to the joints together. I thought it was you, someone about a year and a half ago did a really good video, that's why I thought it was you. The starting point was Pearl Beer Park, I'm guessing the city extended the riverwalk just north of downtown that joints together somewhere near Drury Inn.

San Antonio is the most California-feeling Texas city....not Austin. Austin is just superficially but San Antonio feels like California in its vibe.
