There are so many better airlines now except for Delta and American. I used my miles to go to New Zealand. The whole trip including a separate trip Australia cost me $110 in tax. That was before US Airways became American Airlines. I used my miles once and sold the rest of them for $3500. I knew after that I was not flying anywhere and might as well get something for my miles. I was in a wheelchair due to surgery and American kept sticking me somewhere and I had to keep asking for help to get to my gates. I was helpless and I will never let them treat me like that again.
@Maya-bu2rf29 күн бұрын
I don't fly anywhere now Too many nuts opening doors, getting into fights etc. I have flown to many cool places from New Zealand to Iceland and Seoul. Most often UK, but also Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia, Austria and more than 40 US states. Only injury I ever received was on a bad landing on Quantas.

@Maya-bu2rfАй бұрын
I have flown this route many times especially when flying to the UK. US Airways was the airline most of the time years ago. I also went through Charlotte when going to visit grandparents in Tennessee during the same time period. I don't remember a flight from Tampa to Charlotte or a return that was not a rollercoaster ride. Nothing serious, but definitely bumpy. A Southwest flight from Tampa to Nashville was very bumpy and a really hard landing but it was a day or two after a hurricane and the weather was windy and wet so I thought that was what was going on. Most of the time I was flying in March to June so the weather was not so rough. I did not fly to snowy places except for one trip to Sioux City, Iowa by way of Minneapolis. It was months after the pilots overflew Into Canada so I was more worried about that because I didn't want to miss my connection. On the way back I noticed we were so low I could see people on their boats. Being a native Floridian I know what the usual routine is. They usually say we are 70 miles from landing in Tampa or Tampa Bay. Personally I prefer to land in Tampa and not the bay. They say the usual stuff like put your trays up etc. Nothing was said on this flight but we are definitely flying lower than expected. I saw familiar places less than 20 miles from Tampa and I had decided I was going to call a flight attendant when finally they made their announcement. This was NW Airlines just beginning to fly a Delta route when they merged. Never flew either of them again. This is a newer video because I always had to walk....

Great trip report. Liked and subscribed. That wasn't a legroom I like to have on a long-haul flight. The contents of the amenity kit were much better than what airlines usually give to their economy passengers.
@Aviation.24Ай бұрын
@@TripReportaviation I appreciate man and I do agree the legroom was a little on the shorter end
@gauri361Ай бұрын
Turkish is good in service. But i must say they should do something on the Legroom on their 787 Economies. I somehow find thier old 777-300ER's Economy is way better than the new 787. The legroom on a 14 hr flight just sucks

@@gauri361 I agree but the newer 787’s including the one that I flew on recently do have more legroom

@@Aviation.24 I had flown in Feb 24 from Houston to Istanbul. The legroom was Pathetic. if the front seat passanger reclines their seat, it becomes congested. Whereas i had flown from Istanbul to New Delhi in their 777, The legroom was pretty nice.

As a former LFT resident, I am always rooting for that airport. I actually think that Lafayette is a bit unique in having a strong connection with Continental then United being a very strong presence. If you look around the Southeast and other areas, it's the other two that tend to dominate an airport.
