Poor Tittle. What on earth does this have to do with sermon preparation. Please listen to John MacArthur and Jon Piper and Steven Pawson speak about how to PREPARE a sermon. Having said that, this is a powerful message. The Billy Grahama Foundation ought to take every one of his crusades and put them on video and sell them.

Graham was quite a man. I would suggest Pastor John Lindell to carry the torch. He was offered to be the president of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri but turned it down because he felt God wanted him to continue preaching in Springfield. Miss you, Billy.

I will never get over how simple Billy Graham lays down the "steps to be sure you are saved and going to heaven." Now the path is not easy but the steps are and he speaks on the simplicity of an evangelist message towards the end here as well. Yes, the message is the same! With different scriptural illustrations each time he presents it. But just as God is UNCHANGING so is the message. Believe thou art saved by the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the only son of God, by His death on the cross, for all mankind, His resurrection, and assurance that He will return to Earth physically again to rule and be present at the judgement seat of ALMIGHTY GOD and you are saved. Once you have done that, whole heartedly, you will repent, you must repent, and that requires not only an admonition of our sins but also action on our part to do those sins no more. That is the hard part. But you cannot do that on your own until you truly focus and accept the former. Even in the most humanistic of terms why give up a pleasure for a season despite your knowledge of the end result being a quicker death? In addition to a constant search over and over again for something else once that pleasure is gone or becomes boring or not enough? What will drive you? Not mislead you? Not disappoint you? Not change on you but the love of God and Jesus sacrifice for you and the result of eternal life in Heaven for all those who believe? I cannot think of anything and yet I still sin and thus the need for a Billy Graham today. To remind us that every day we are alive there is still time and that's the proof that God loves us and wants us with Him. It isn't an accident or luck or good genes. It is none but the love, grace, and mercy of almighty God that allows our being alive today and Billy Graham did that very effectively. God rest Dr. Graham and as he was prone to say; "MAY GOD BLESS YOU REAL GOOD!"

Billy mixed up salvation which is absolutely free with service that can cost you everything; the result: yet another cleverly repackaged version of faith plus works equals salvation nonsense. He talked grace through faith but then he put conditions on it. He said that you must repent of your sins and give your life to Christ for salvation. Both of these are a lifetime of works of service and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all. He redefines belief as total commitment and redefines faith as obedience in contradiction of Ephesians 2:8,9,10, Romans 4: 5, 6,and Romans 11: 6. The Biblical definition of faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Billy Baalam had another gospel. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation. When you have believed on Christ alone for salvation then you have repented unto life! Salvation is absolutely free, instant, and eternal, recieved solely by trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone, and is certainly not conditional upon service to God. Service (discipleship) if you choose it can cost you everything if you go all out in serving God. Our good works, repenting of sins, and obedience, are solely for rewards in Heaven or a lack thereof and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all. The only reason anyone will ever be in Heaven is solely by the perfect life, shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ alone. Anything added or subtracted from this is another gospel. Billy Baalam had another gospel. No wonder that he was promoting ecumenicalism. The vast majority of professing Christians believe in a faith that works gospel, which is exactly the same gospel as the Roman Catholic Church, faith plus works equals salvation nonsense.

Sad when preachers leave out verses of a hymn. As someone who attended SBTS and played that mighty organ on MANY occasions, glad I didn’t have to play for him.

I always loved to hear your dad preach Franklin Graham as I see what is going on in our world today reminds me of neiamiah after what had happened in isreal had been destroyed and he sat down and wept like our cities are being looted and burned and nothing is being done but very soon I feel the Bible that every knee will now and every tongue will confess I pray our nation will turn back to our Lord Jesus christ

Billy Graham is a great messenger of the Gospel of Christ, not after Money but after spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, very rare nowadays.PBH.

In respect & love, I think people really need to reevaluate Graham (as well as his son) as a reliable source of good theology. Along with watering down the Gospel to “saying the sinners prayer”, he basically embraced everyone & anyone who claimed to be a Christian (including false teacher Oral Roberts).
