I like your video but better lighting is needed. Where I needed guidance was l1 l2 r 1 r 2 buttons but was just to dark to see how they went back in place.

If none of these steps work, i’d suggested a last one. Use a clamp to take out, clean and put back on the wire connecting the Triggers to the Motherboard i think (only touch the blue parts on the wire/cable with the clamp). I dont know the name but it was the one thing a friend told me and worked for me!

I replaced the flex ribbons of L1 & L2 triggers and now my controler isn't working. The controller works fine when I disconnect the trigger's ribbon but fails again when I connect it, any solution?

I have replaced the microphone inside my controller and the conduction pad for the d-pad buttons and action buttons... my L2 button stopped working and my L1 button was very choppy it worked when it wanted to. Lucky for me I got some of those ribbons for the top buttons when I bought my conductive pad originally so I can try this out and see if it's my problem. Of course I bought the Springs thinking that was going to be the issue but my spring seems fine.

My controller stopped working after a drop. R1 and R2 unresponsive, mechanically moving as normal. After watching this video, I did the same and managed to get it 100% working by simply reconnecting all the ribbon cables. My suggestions are to be careful with the microphones (there’s 2) just remove the ribbon and don’t remove the white plastic connectors. Don’t disconnect the big white pad/button either, it’s unnecessary.

Didn't think of that part where you add cotton to the middle part so it gives a more stronger base to the r2 sensor thanks!

Yo joe i got a question so the PS5 Controller it has 4 strips in total 2 connecting to the motherboard and 2 small ones for the bumpers/triggers i was wondering why when i connect one of the strips which is for L1/L2 the controller turns off and stays off and if use a different version then my controllers is that an issue?

If your spring is good check the cable that controls the triggers my L2 and L1 weren't working today so I opened it up an my cable ribbon was half plugged in so i plugged it in an all is good now

I have the issue where my R2 trigger is extremely sensitive and works on it's own most times, I switched the springs but the problem still occurs. What could be the problem?

My wife fell asleep with a cig in her hand (don't smoke kids!) and woke up with a melted L2 trigger cap.. the chassis too .. which meant the trigger sticks now. Thanks to your vid I can now disassemble, shave-down the warped plastic and reassemble! Smooth as silk!

So I had to replace the L1/L2 ribbon wire and my controller won’t turn back on, the moment I disconnected that wire controller is able to turn back on. Any ideas ?please help

I dissected the r2 trigger and dipped the trigger circuit (flat one) in disinfection fluid and reassemble it and got it to work
