OMG!!! I am in love! I've recently started to do dot painting but I get carried away! Instead of practicing the different dotting techniques I tend to want to get into major projects like yours. I so love your tutorials and I will certainly attempt one as soon as (or maybe before) I complete the ones I am currently working on. Thank you so much for the inspiration!!!

It’s 2024 and I’m just starting , absolutely love how you’re teaching this. Do you use little paint pots with lids to keep your paint fresh?

Greetings from Ontario Canada.🍁 Very informative video. I appreciate the idea of using the toothpick to paint the line down the middle of the ladybug 🐞. Gavin did an awesome job on his ladybug.🐞 I'm in the process of painting Ladybugs 🐞🐞 while waiting the Paris 2024 Olympics. I plan to make a "Ladybug Crossing" sign to set up with my ladybugs 🐞🐞🐞. Enjoy your day.😊

You never said where you got the rocks and you never said what type of paint you used..?? 🤔🥹

@robinmanzanares3106 Rocks from outside or hardware store/landscaping company that sells rocks, paint is acrylic paint you can buy in small bottles at any craft store, dollar store, Walmart, etc. Hope this helps!

Thank you for sharing these tips <3 . I would like to ask two questions. What kind of tool do you use to make the dots and second if the only way to keep the colors present after the washings is to cook the glass. thanks a lot

I let my Great Niece know about your channel so she can do this with her son, my Great Great Nephew! She paints superbly and is teaching her son to paint, just like her!
My Mom collected rocks . Each time she had a chemo treatment, she picked up a stone from their dry riverbed. Mom passed 3 years ago, so I just painted each stone into colorful ladybugs for my garden. Thanks for your inspiration 🙏

I was wondering what brand of paint you use? You definitely get a better single coverage than I do. I would have to paint over the rock initially 4, 5, or 6 times just to get that base coat coverage that you have. 😊 thanks

@anned372 I do have some folk art, and some plaid. And some random ones from Hobby Lobby period of course all of them are kind of old and maybe they just don't have good coverage😅

What to do if you do a mistake in your mandala art work how do you rectify that. Eg.if a paint spill how to remove that without damaging the good work
@KellyTheresa5 ай бұрын
Hi Elizabeth! This is dependant on the size of the spill, if it's little and away from other dots and still wet I will use a damp q-tip to remove it. If I can't remove it without damaging other dots around it then I wait for it to dry and then paint it the base color again, the great thing with acrylic is you can easily paint over colors again once they are dry! 😁 Hope this helps! 💕

I enjoyed watching this video all the way through. So beautiful. Can I paint a wooden egg with acrylic paint too? Is the preparation the same? Also, is there a type of sealer that I could apply at the end to make it really shiny? How long are you allowing for drying time as you progress with your dotting? Thank you
@KellyTheresa8 ай бұрын
I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial! Yes you can definitely paint on wood, it is one of my favorite materials to paint on! 😁 For a beautiful shiny finish that protects your artwork I high suggest a coat of resin however it's quite the process and expensive, so if you are looking for something less expensive and quick then a high gloss Acrylic sealer will work amazing too. The real difference between the two would be if your putting it outside, then resin definitely for it to be weather resistant, if it's inside the the Acrylic sealer is a great quick finish.

When u ae painting a rock or plaster rock, do u coat them with a sealer first? And if i were to mess up a dot could i scrap or wipe it off?
@KellyTheresa11 ай бұрын
Hi Jennifer, I don't usually use a sealer first unless it's a really gritty rock and I was a smoother surface then I will resin and sand it. As for wiping off dots you absolutely can while it's still wet 😁
