Hi mate have a 2008 1.2 Corsa, throws error misfire multi cylinders then only Cylinder 4. I have changed spark plugs, coil pack and it still misfires on idle, drives a bit sluggish but once it gets going it seems fine does not seem like a cylinder issue. I have ordered a map sensor but could it be anything else? Also the o2 sensor at the front does not seem to do anything when disconected whilst started is that normal? My 2013 Corsa 1.2 sxi had this noisy start up. Tried replacing the oil filter valve, and made no difference. I've just replaced the timing chain, the chain guide on the non tensioning side was completely broken up and the top guide was also broken. Had to remove sump to recover all the broken bits. Always preferred a chain to a belt engine but having second thoughts after seeing this. Car done 85k and always had regular oil changes and servicing.

So after changing the oil filter valve and the filter it self genuine GM, the oil pressure at cold start is still zero and the oil light stays on for 3 to 4 seconde, i even bloqued the hole of the valve with a materiel that resist oil and petrol, the problem is still there, i've also done and oil pressure test all good, the one way valve is very good and there's always oil in the bottom so i came up with the conclusion that the oil flows throu the hole in middle of the oil filter housing do you have an idea why is that happening, im about to change the oil filter housing but i dont know if its worth it

My 2011 corsa d has the grinding sound but only when it’s warmed up. If I turn it off for 15 minutes then restart it will make the noise, off again back on then noise has gone. I’ve had the timing chains done and water pump in the last 12 months. Very strange and annoying

Hello I have a 2008 Corsa D that only starts on the second try when cold, also before priming the fuel pump there is no pressure in the fuel rail is it normal for the fuel pressure to dissipate over times?. I am unsure if it is sensor related or air somehow getting into fuel rail or lines. Also it hesitates sometimes when you put the foot down shortly after starting. Replaced crank sensor with no luck.

Timing chain changing the oil will stop it for a few weeks but will return most of the Vauxhalls do this nothing to worry about

My OBDII scanner comes up with emissions failure for the catalytic and o2 sensor heater. I'm new to this and not really sure of what readings mean what. It also says it's running lean. Would that be because of a faulty o2 sensor? I do get the occasional misfire on a cold start.

These are very problematic cars that are best avoided. On my Astra, the sound of the chain is heard, often at low revs, when starting and while driving. Opel/GM invented a gasket under the chain tensioner, but I find information that even after installing that gasket, the problem with the chain can often return. My question is, maybe the main problem is not in the gasket and chain tensioner, but in the oil pump that does not create strong enough pressure at low rpms. And can the pump be set to give higher pressure, since it is variable and dependent on rpm?

I noticed on my sons corsa that it would take a little longer to start engine & when it was started i let it idle for about 5mins then turned car off then started the car , it started instantly so i got the thought that maybe something was starving the system somehow . It seems that when the car was warmer & the oil was hotter that it would start on point. Im in the middle of putting new parts on his car so ill be having a look at that valve while im at it, im doing an oil service on it anyway so makes sense to check it . 😂 Good vid though 👍🏼 but kept having to pause every 5secs to see the typo’s . Tbh i do prefer to hear the a spoken tutorial as its quicker to take the info in 😊 But good job tho 🤘🏼

The inlet at 4:43 is very oily and dirty on mine, any idea on what i should use to clean that? Also noticed oil in the air intake pipe, coming from that thinner flexible pipe connecting to the top right of the engine, what does that one do and why am i getting oil in the intake?
