Which do you prefer ? The shrimp with or without rattle ? When would the rattle be necessary or does it matter ?

I feel personally it doesn’t matter but as salesmen would say “noise is always better” but as you can tell I never use rattles or noise objects and they work just fine. I’m sure in dingy chocolate milk it would make a difference

Funny everyone posts fishing at the spillway, but no one but not one posts how to get there w/o a kayak or boat, there is a good road leads back to spillway wheather or not it’s public access or not I hv no idea I’m not from down there. I’m dying to fish the spillway from the bank but I don’t hv a yak or boat down there. All locals think a visitor is going to catch all the fish in the bay. I try and do my best to help folks at lake Texoma when they come I want them to come back but locals on the coast are stingy don’t help anyone

Hoping this is gutz fishing , to get to the spillway can I drive a small car to spillway off Waldron rd? 2.4 miles then get out can I walk across the spillway or where cement pillars are at? Just trying to figure out best place to park and shortest distance to walk hv bad knee thanks anyone

Dought you read these anymore but I’m from Fort Worth I visit my daughter several times a year in floresville and next time I get down there I’ll going to spillway and fish there my question is do I use the long asphault/concrete road looks to be about 3-4 miles long off Waldron road on the south side of spillway? Walk across the spillway, I don’t hv kayak yet, or is there a easier way to get to spillway driving?

@@gutzfishing7853 thanks but can you tell me the best way in there, been on google earth last couple hours trying to figure out how to get in there, I’m calling it north and south.the south side has a 2.6 mike corroded asphalt looking road leads right up to spillway wheather or not I can get onto that road from Waldron road I don’t know, on the north side it looks like either swamp or grass water and to me looks like private land, peoples videos fishing the spillway the virus fishing there their legs and pants are clean not wet, I don’t see another way to get to spillway cept to north or south. Do you know road I’m talking about off Waldron rd? I cannot attach a pic to this, if your ever out there I’ll even pay you fir helping me that’s how much I appreciate it I’m 60 year old honest man strictly catch and release cept 1 trout 1 flounder for my wife she loves fresh caught fish thanks gutz I really do Steve I’m afraid to post my email or phone number where we could private text I can attach pics that way

Well I found spillway finally abs bridge, but I guessing you gotta drive over mudd bridge abs about 3-5 miles to gravel road then about 10 miles or more, gotta hv 4 wheel drive looks like maybe not I did find a old asphalt road the. I’m taking it you gotta walk over the spillway? Cause there isn’t a public road on the north side of the spillway if there is it’s not on google earth, or maybe I can fish the south side of the spillway, sure here is a road to get here from north side but it’s rough as hell looks like it abs looks like private land I dunno but prob able to walk across spillway some how or float across lol locals prob k ow how to get over here

Irons Christi spillway nor Corpus Christi mud bridge isn’t listed in maps or google maps, prob a local spot name and they would take death pill before telling any of us where it is at!!!! Even tight though we out of towners supply their wildlife funding from all the mo ry we spend down here. I’m buying a little spot to build us a 20’ high man cave and hell of a dock w/ underwater lights planting lights out to 100 yds weighted down on bottom and seperate switchs to light one light at a time up and change the colors. I will help anyone I want them to come back dump more money into my economy up on lake Texoma

Dought you read this anymore. I get down there about 3-4 times a year from Fort Worth. I wished I knew where the place is, I’m strictly catch abs rekease ceitcfur. 2 flounder 1 trout avd go home the wife lives fresh flounder and I go to goose island I hv honey home guarantees me two flounder. But would love to catch fish big or small since by boat was stolen last May in Rockport at hotel 30 Mnts check in and go to room to pee cane out my whole bumper abs 96% of my gear was gone along with it insurance still hasn’t paid me so I surabxec Kar owners better hv receipts for anything your filing I lost over 10veavd of off shore reels rods plus all my electronics soent 9 years redoing that 21’ center console wrapped it 3 days before the way it goes but woujd love to fish this spot one time
