So the shocks were bad at least one in the rear. The front springs were sagging as well. I believe for this though the truck sagged with little weight in the rear because it was level without the blocks in the rear

Did you have to adjust the camber? I ask because I put the same kit on my truck and I have quite a bit of positive camber.
@justtheClark3 ай бұрын
Yes you will have to correct the camber it will be off. Would highly recommend getting an alignment. But if you don’t you can mark the top control arms bolt locations and adjust them evenly in the direction you need keeping with the most amount of caster you can. Then put the truck down roll it back and forth, put a level on the rim to check if the camber is near zero or slightly negative. Then you just check toe and see if the steering wheel is straight. I got lucky toe and steering wheel were pretty much spot on.
@genekind87523 ай бұрын
@@justtheClark Right on! Thank you for the advice. I also noticed the upper control arm is incredibly close to the shock tower (?Proper Nomenclature?) . I'm worried about downward travel of the entire wheel assembly on rough terrain. Do you know of a replacement upper control arm that would work with this particular vehicle? I'm looking to replace the stock "V" shaped upper control arm with more of a "U" shaped upper control arm. I know, I have all the questions today but I appreciate the help and guidance.
@justtheClark3 ай бұрын
I don't have one to recommend. Most of my experience is with older vehicles and not off road, but I did notice the angle of the top ball joint and if you are driving it off road that would be the failure point. It will need something with a better angle. Also a limiting strap wont fix the core issue but might stop it from breaking

Nice video sir I dig that music. I'm glad my 4.7 doesn't require all of this. But with the 4.7 you have a blender screw to release all of the air. If you don't do this it will run a little hotter than normal and you will loose your valve seats plus your heat won't get hot.
