I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to other versions of this that aren't the album version or original London play version (I hate the movie for the most part) - and this dude, as far as I can remember, is the only one who comes close to my expectations and criteria, not flashy/poppy/over-theatrical/effeminate, sings it direct and harsh, with a lot of soul - A really good job! (...now about the shows choreography errr umm smh)

I like the idea of splitting the character of Simon Zealotes into two similar characters. It adds an interesting musical dimension.

You can practically hear Carl Anderson through the vocal choices he makes (not surprising, considering this entire version seems to take most of its cues from the '73 version) and even the acting, which is a bit of a shame since this guy's got a voice with which he could've pulled off some more originality. ...en even iets heel anders, Nick & Simon als apostelen is ergens een beetje een cultuurshock xD

Great voice, not a huge fan of the acting. I don't feel like Judas is despairing at all which he should be. Also not a huge fan of the staging, or how Jesus and his apostles are paying attention to Judas, since this is basically always portrayed as Judas's pleas being completely ignored by Jesus, thus leading to Judas's frustration.

Een heel late reactie :P maar zie dit nu pas. De zanger Jezus krijgt niet overal goede kritieken en dat vind ik jammer. Persoonlijk vind ik zijn stem mooi en denk dat ballads perfect bij hem zullen passen. Geen idee of hij ook door is gegaan in de muziek maar het zou de moeite waard zijn. Jan Dulles is natuurlijk super en veelzijdig, ben een groot fan. Wat een talent in Volendam zeg!
