Schöner Bericht solche fossilien aus dem ordovizium, hier roter orthocerenkalk kann man hier von Nord bis mitteldeutschland als nordisches Geschiebe finden .Hier in diesem Steinbruch im anstehenden zu suchen ist natürlich das absolute für jeden Sammler.

Very nice ! I have never seen the ocean so calm before.Just curious ;what types of rock are showing in the local crop? Are there collectible minerals in them?I do enjoy videos showing the various countrysides as it will probably be my only opportunity to " visit" other countries.Thank You !

@@D10pete Hi and thanks for watching! :) The local badrock consists mostly from granite so it doesn't contain much other than feldspar, quartz and biotite. Some occasional garnets but not much else. I'm not very good at minerals either but I'm starting to search for some localities i the nearby countys. :) Cheers/M

18:42 before sawing the stone, remove the rock layer with sandblasting. Perhaps there are more trilobites there. 👍

These sites on the English coast have very deep beach erosion sediments so who knows what is 100 or 100feet below the actual beach. Still preserved if its aerobic I expect for the next humans?.

The red mudstone matrix really shows off the trilobites with a nice contrast. They are all great specimens, and I am (as always) quite impressed with your preparation!
