I replaced the wires on my 68 Loadstar (V304) One wire at a time. I matched the old wire length to the new one. Keep it simple.. I also got rid of the points and installed a Pertronix kit many years ago, works great !

Hey bud I have a generator with a Wisconsin motor on it. I can't get any spark I have a new coil on it. Still no spark . Do you have any idea why? Please if you or your grandfather have any idea let me know. I really enjoy your videos. I like your grandfather at the end. His reading always make me feel better about life. I'll be looking for your response. Thank you
@Tractorsandsuch10137 ай бұрын
Thank you. This is really the first Wisconsin motor I have ever played with. But this one had an issue of the points being a little corroded and had issues with the kill switch on the panel on the ditch witch and just bypassed it. There should be a tab on the side of the magneto that you just press down against the magneto to kill it. Make sure that tab is not bent touching the casing of the magneto otherwise it will just ground out and won’t get spark.
@Tractorsandsuch10137 ай бұрын
You can see that tab on the magneto in the video

FYI, when you depress the clutch pedal partway down in disengages the clutch. When depressed all the way it applies the left brake.
