Like this documentary. I was a member of the Kings Army,Lunsfords Regiment, back in 1971/75. had great fun traveling around the country,meeting ,and fighting with some wonderful people. Good to know that there are folks continuing to do the same .

Oceana southampton theres two doormen there i witnessed delibrately winding up a guy they had restrained just so they could get rough with him again. He was face down on the floor keeping quiet not struggling when the licensed thugs started whispering threats in his ear which caused him to struggle again. Its not the first time ive seen it there either. Yes the punters can be a problem but it is on both sides. Ive known guys who have worked the doors who have told me that some of them enjoy the rush of confrontation ....they are bullies.

We are not that different then our English cousins, we share the same passion for history and enjoy the comrades as we do. We both same ideas about training and safety for new people in the hobby (American Civil War 1861-1865), escaping ever day life and not be you for the weekend. You are soldier or civilian and you but your real life behide you. Keep up the good work and keep History alive.

As a bouncer, sometimes we refuse entry to guys at the request of the manager, as to many guys in a bar and not enough women equals trouble. Don't take it personal

In my 20 years of clubbing experience, my overall opinion of bouncers is they are a bunch of cunts. They only need the slightest reason to raise their hands

It,s a tough job,i could certainley say if you cannot take name saying you are in the wrong business. Also it is underpayed you are putting to a certain extent your life on the line . How many times does an incident go to the floor, and you get kicked or worse!! from bystanders who have nothing to do with said incident.

Ohh I wish people do that in my country, Im from Panamá and here we have some colonial history because the old city of Panama was the jewel in the crown of the Spanish Empire in the Americas because all the gold and silver from south america has to come here, we still have the old ruins of the 17th century city after it was burned and sacked by Henry Morgan. I wish people could organize Reenactment in the old city grounds with Muskets and swords and food, maybe I should try to organize it by myself, the only problem is the lact of interest of our goverments. Cheers!
@benjamingrist65397 жыл бұрын
Why wait for government support? Most of the reenactment groups in the USA got started during the centennial anniversary of the American Civil War and the bicentennial of the American Revolution by everyday people that wanted to help others visualize what happened during those conflicts. When they realized how fun it was, they organized societies and started holding regular events. It's certainly hard to start a group from scratch, and you'll probably get a lot of the wrong clothing and equipment when you first start. However, if you stick to it and keep spreading the word, you'll eventually have a group of dedicated, historically accurate members in your group. I say, "Go for it!"

its always the same story you are the best person in the world when you are pulling some degenerate off the shirts and ties but as soon as you say no to someone you are a piece of shit with a bully mentality, i see more so called "nice working class" people bullying intimidating and assaulting people for no reason each weekend than i have door staff in the last ten years, if you are going to make statements and stereotypical comments try standing on the other side of the fence do a few shifts on a door where you have to work for your money then come back.

On a side note I think door staff do not get the credit they are due. Yes some abuse their power but, most are just trying to make a living dealing with idiots who want to get wasted and ruin someone's day. When these people grow up and have their own families I'm sure they would want some dickhead expelled if they or their family are in danger of being beaten up, glassed or worse.

Majority of people just bandwagon jump. "bouncers abuse their power" - What power do we exactly have fuckwit? We work off of Civil Law. We have the same rights and powers as you. The only thing we can do differently is refuse entry to a premises. How about the general public stop getting retarded drunk and claim they haven't done anything wrong when they plant one on someone and they are out on their arse.
@djeq72112 жыл бұрын
5:30 - They're the exact people who criticise door staff yet when some chav bellend is knocking 10 bells out of them and chewing their ear off will be glad that they where there. They have little idea about the world, as ironic as it is the majority of students are generally quite dim.

100% thats what we were trying to get across. Anywhere with that much alcohol and people, there is bound to be trouble and its just the Doorman's job to make sure there is as least violence as possible. Thanks for watching.

haha yeah, thats exactly what we were trying to get across in this little documentary. Thanks for watching man!

what cheapskates at 6:00 minutes. They deserve to be refused entry if they aren't going to contribute to business and just behave like tossers once inside the club.
@MindVsMatter112 жыл бұрын
wow these experts criticising bouncers.. are they suggesting hotels have no security at all? yeah I'm sure no problems will happen at all if no nightclubs had security... its always the troublemakers who complain about security and people who cannot handle their alcohol.
@MindVsMatter112 жыл бұрын
generally speaking yes.. but if a bouncer is popular with locals for kicking out troublemakers its different. People warm up to you and offer you free drinks if you kick out someone they dislike.

also, the doormen are watch dogs on command from the manager, some folk get turned around for reasons they dont understand and without explanation . and they take it personally
@fullfist12 жыл бұрын
when they're doormen as a second job, already tired, that's when the nerves start going thin. . i know sleep deprivation and it turns you into a person you yourself wouldnt recognize, the chances of punches to start flying go way up and that not what it should be about .

not all doorman are as innocent as they are portrayed in this clip... i know plenty of bouncers in my city that turn people (men) away for no reason and look for the fight
