How much is the wheel? How much is the segment? I’m guessing over $100 per segment on those telehandler wheels. It’s a great concept. Love the idea, but it’s too expensive. Am I wrong?
@EvolutionWheel5 ай бұрын
Expensive compared to what? We are typically the same or less than other solid tire options and foam filled pneumatics. One segment is $150, seems pretty cheap compared to replacing a whole tire for $2000-$3000 🤷
@garrettwhite7375 ай бұрын
@@EvolutionWheelI’m not talking about your solid tire specifically. In general they are a great idea but horribly overpriced over pneumatic tires. It looks to be $2550 to replace all the segments on one telehandler wheel. I have had great luck with new pneumatic tires with a good dose of tire sealant inside. A smoother ride for a third of the price, maybe a quarter of the price. If I wanted to spend a fortune to guarantee no flats, I would buy tracked machines
@EvolutionWheel5 ай бұрын
Are we talking about telehandler tires specifically as shown in the video or solid tires in general? A full set of new rubber for one of our 14x24 telehandler tires would be $1500 roughly ... a pneumatic is about $1,000 + service call and foam filling. Running an air filled tire on a telehandler is a safety issue if they go flat and a stability issue because the tire and rim doesn't weight enough. I have also only ever seen 1 tracked telehandler machine ever and it was custom made. If we are talking about other tires and tire sizes then any pricing we are talking about is wrong, smaller tires are less money. Hope this helps.

So I’ve been fighting off keyboard engineers sticking up for you guys because I believe in this product. say one section gets messed up and you need to change it but it’s a year after the wheels were bought so the wear is different and you put a new section in will the height difference matter? I said these are not like car tires and they don’t wear as quickly so the height difference will be so small it won’t matter am I correct
@EvolutionWheel10 ай бұрын
This situation is actually quite uncommon given how the tire is manufactured and the quality of our rubber compounds. Having said that if a customer has a half worn tire we offer wear parts with matching tread depth segments. After we sell a full set of tires to a customer we typically hear from them next when it is time for a full replacement set of rubber where they reuse the rims.
