I also used to think this was church. I remember when playing drums I didn’t really think about the love of Christ honestly. I played because I loved drums but also loved the attention of people but more so women.

So this might be another set up that I think is really dope. The musician shouldn’t even be seen. That’s just my feeling. I think there was a video posted of the musicians in a whole Nother room that right there is just asking for a whole bunch of fun, but this set up I respect this.

Someone can get convicted, saved or filled with the Holy Ghost at a concert just like they can in a service. We are commanded to witness/minister. Music is ministry and true gospel songs bear witness to the goodness, majesty, grace, mercy and salvation of God. Say what you want about Ricky, but he ministers in his concerts as do many/most gospel artists. And EVEN if its just a show, God can still move. The Holy Spirit can still convict and folks can get saved, healed and delivered. Names and reputations are important because they speak to one's character and have an impact on their witness.

Flash is prob my fav drummer out right now. I think he is in that mold of Calvin Rodgers, people who can simply play the drums with excellence. They can do the chops, and will hit them when necessary, but they know their role and play if it well.
