I totally agree with the comment about having a Strap fixing on the Seaward tester, I often have to work off ladders on my multiple sites, and having a strap would be very helpful, it’s odd that Seaward put a shoulder strap on the tester bag they supply, but not on the tester itself, especially as there is nothing to hold the tester in the case ! 😢

I hate how expensive that bag is and how much I need to get one!

Got one , 170 USD in Moscow, fast delivery, happy 🎉. But I think the ratchet should be bigger, for outdoors work to make sure I don’t break it with high torque, while trying to fix some pipeline on the -20 frost.

I've just purchased this bag tonight and its coming by Wednesday. 👍👍 I use a Seaward Apollo 500+ for regular PAT Testing, now that I've seen your video, I'm confident that this bag will be a fantastic replacement

Yep just ordered this set so for my Wera tools collection alongside with the Red Bull F1 edition which already I have. And this one is just for light maintenance even in my Hybrid Toyota.

Thx for the video. I planned to buy one, but I thought it is much more compact. Maybe they should design a more practical case for it, so that we could wear on a belt.

Hi Rick, I have just started looking at the Verso Boards, I have mainly fitted Wylex (in social housing) and more recently FuseBox for my domestic customers!. I really like the FuseBox range but I also like the look of these Verso ones too. I've watched your video a couple of time but cant seem to get a grasp on why you swapped out the boards? For me once I have fitted a board I would only change it for expansion purposes or issues with the RCD's/RCBO's. When it comes to fitting a new board I can understand that some boards are way easier to install because of room etc. One of the challenges I have had with the Fusebox range on the smaller boards was fitting the 16mm Earth in the Earth bar and I am also not the biggest fan of their meter-tail glands the Wylex ones are far better. I watched a couple of Videos on the Verso now and the one draw back for me was they don't make a mini RCBO and whilst I like more room in the Consumer Unit so you can dress the cables most of the time the overall height of the consumer unit becomes an issue. I enjoyed the video and glad to see you use Pedro too!

The PME one and the outbuilding is awkward. If I were doing it new, then a rod is the safest solution but more costly. What are the actual odds on loosing the PEN conductor at or before the supply intake? Im not sure if there is even a stated number to be honest, maybe someone reading this can point me to an article that shows the number of PEN faults recorded in the UK per year. Even if its lost, you still have the water and gas bonding in place to help, though not guaranteed in these days of plastic supplies. I would suggest you have more chance of getting hit by a bus walking out of your house than a lost PEN conductor.

I've got no money and turns up in a Range Rover. Love it. The number of times I get that same sob story when it comes to what needs fixing, and i'm not even expensive, really pisses me off so much that in the last 2 years I have actually added 20% on top of what I would normally charge because I really don't like or need customers like that. What's funny, is even after adding that uplift, they still get me to do the work. Those few who still moan, I just politely suggest they shop around.
