Stellar ride bro. Clean, polite, smooth. Good instinctual save at the end. What a beautiful road too.

Your friend on GSXR seems to over compensate going into the corners he should try to stay in the middle of the road more and go wide all the time.

I'm envious. I've been in TN for 9 years and have not made it to TotD. My SV of 14 years is up for sale, so looking like I won't make it before moving back west and selling the Bike. Great run and thanks for sharing! Just a cruise for the SV. One of the best unknown and unappreciated bikes made. Thank you!

Good and safe riding you two, great to see this on KZbin. SV, I think you should lead in future as your lines seem to be better :)

Lovely road to ride, if only your mate on the gixxer would be more concerned about cornering technique and smooth lines rather than how often I can get my knee down. Maybe then he wouldn't be braking mid corner, having re adjust his lines and in turn be smoother and faster

2 hobby class riders in the twisties riding 2nd and 3rd gear will always carry the same speed, 170 hp versus 120 hp dont matter

Sv is making way better lines than the gixxer

If I didn't see Ducati in Italy , I saw a lot SV1000! They will be a classic bike , modelled of the Ducati Devilla1200, love mine replaced the electric fuel pump in 10 years.

Nice video! I prefer SV 1000 on the mountain road, but in ring Gsxr are the best. But super motard, in this road, win all !

So, what happened? The ass stepped out when you accelerated out of the turn? It wasn't doing that before, what happened?

He was riding really well, he gripped on to the handlebars too tight and lost it. If he were to use his legs to grip the bike he would've been fine.

I notice that you keep a wider line on entry to a corner than your mate on the GSXR. He seems to cut in quite early, which means that you have better visibility around the corner and can react to unforeseen incidents (the bike crash). I have a mate who is an ex-racer (ex Barry Sheen TZ750) who tends to lack a defensive road sense. He tends to cut in quickly on blind corners(stay wide and look 1st) on the road. There taking in to account that there may be obstacles such as horses and tractors around the corner. Cheers John

He was riding great until the crash, I like how they stayed in their lane and still kept a fast past. I want a DRZ but, I ride in a sports bike style like in the video. I just think these bikes crash to easily.

If you hang off more, you lean the bike less, gives you more safety cushion to work with and less chance of target fixation in case you enter the turn too hot, glad there was no incoming vehicle ...
@honestcustomer35988 жыл бұрын
fast forward to 6:20 to see the crash lol....you're welcome and if you're going to lean that freaking much on a practically street legal dirt bike i suggest you wear some pads and drag that fuckin knee even tho that bike isn't meant for that much lean and for the beginners don't be like that guy! you wanna drag your knee go take a course for about 290 bucks they will take you on an actually track and you will gain the confidence on turns. every bike and every rider has their limits find yours on a closed course instead of a public road where you could lose your life or someone elses.

Um... no offense... I don't mean to criticise... but I would NEVER follow anyone that closely at those speeds. I don't trust anyone that much. (Including your friend). A ride like that should be... therapeutic. I've ridden at those speeds and found it therapeutic, almost relaxing, but watching this gets me all on edge just because of the close following distance. Maybe I'm like this from too much commuting with idiots.
@KrisGorski9 жыл бұрын
I get the feel you you are not doing any counter steering. Is that correct?
@opmike3439 жыл бұрын
+Kris Gorski I don't think you understand what countersteering is. You CANNOT get a motorcycle to turn at speed without countersteering.
