The German restaurant do have veg options. But for the Thai khao soi I’m afraid no veg menu

from ChiangRai to Mae Sai, Myanmar border, we take taxi to ChiangRai bus terminal the take a local van which is 50 baht per person. 60 Kms with 1.15 hrs the van ended at Mae Sai bus station. After that they have a red car to the border (15 Bath). In case you want to across to Myanmar, you need Thai Id card or a Passport and drop to Mae Sai city hall for a paper. It costs 30 Bath per person. No need to do in advance. After that you can use the paper to across the border. Paid again 10 Baht in Myanmar side. Find Myanmar duty free for chill beer. On the way back you can carry only 1 litres of alcohol per person.
