I would like to congratulate you on the excellent initiative. I initially discovered your classes through Spotify and nowadays I'm starting to visit your KZbin. You have a special teaching style, bordering up the excellence. Please, Keep it up!! Ah, I'm Brazilian, 60 years old, my English is far good written and read, as I've always used for my work. But speaking and listening have always been my difficulty. Thank you very much for helping me!!

In Germany, I would pay more or less the same price for those items (give or take $5). Bananas and zucchinis are a bit cheaper in the US, but baby spinach and kale are cheaper in Germany. Overall, there isn’t a big difference between prices in the US and Germany. See you.

Thank you very much for teaching me a lot of phrasal verbs. The translation of “I was sweating like a pig" is a direct translation into German. However, it's definitely an informal way to say “I was sweating.” One interesting thing I learned was about the portable toilet called a "port-o-can" or "port-o-potty." My dictionary was unable to translate these two words, so I asked ChatGPT. The explanation was interesting: "port-o-can" is used around Texas, while "port-o-potty" is more common in the rest of the US. In Germany, we call a portable toilet a “Dixie-Klo.” “Dixie” is the brand name, and “Klo” is the German word for toilet. See you.

Can we use "I was sweating like a pig" in front of a faculty member or someone I see for the first time? Is it suitable in a formal situation?
@greadore
@greadore 10 күн бұрын
Thanks for the question. I would say it is best not to use this expression with someone you do not know very well or don't have a close relationship with. It is not a very bad expression but it is very informal and not professional. With your faculty member it would be better to say something like "I was really sweating a lot".

We have the most beautiful culture musicly jazzy. Culinary, 🎭 arts , dance, We are the most classy people in the world …even though we are the poorest. When you learn Haitian history you’ll know that we civilized America 🇺🇸. Because we civilized New Orleans and New Orleans civilized the rest of the Americas and America 🇺🇸 civilized a lot of countries they took over. I don’t mean to say civilized but they brought their culture to every country they conquered. And we know Americans culture with out blk accent is no accent. And that’s without coooking dogs 🐶 n cats 🐈‍⬛. And if we did we have gotten the whole world to it too because it would be the most delicious dog n cats
