Hi, Many thanks for you valuable shares! Is it possible to use flail mower with gear-2? Or should we use it allways at gear-1??
@DaileysFarmTools
@DaileysFarmTools Ай бұрын
Hello, yes, flail mower can be used in various gears including 1,2,3 on Blitz, BCS or Grillo 2-wheel tractors. But, conditions will dictate which gear to use. To properly protect clutch it is important to choose a gear to minimize and "bogging" of the engine. If this happens over and over again in close proximity (time wise) then this can overheat and burn up the clutch. A little bogging down here or there is OK and long as decent amount of time between. If bogging down too much then either increase cut height, reduce gear / speed selection or take a narrower "bite" out of your cut material.

@@DaileysFarmTools Many thanks! I have Blitz 120, I just use the flail mower for 3-4 hours and then I got problem about; - once I tried to use flail mower at gear-1, it did not move. Then I disconnected the flail mower and tried to run machine, it works but it did not worked at gear-4 even there were no attachment connected to the Bilitz 120. I think this happened because of clutch system. I guess, need to make adjustment with roper of clutch.

Are grass mowing style blades available? How well does the 39" work as a lawnmower for my BCS 779? I would like a lawnmower that also mulches.

Hi LarsDcCase. Too each their own, right. Riding on a 4-wheel tractor is super boring and annoying to me for small scale vegetable production. I feel like I am doing nothing with my time. On the flip side, I like the hands-on nature of the 2-wheel tractor. Some agree with this and some won't. Its all good. Its nice to have a wide variety of options out there to suit all the needs of the market.

Hi @rawmoma3998. There are standalone version of the BIO 100. Also, engine powered versions of them. I sell an awesome Italian high-speed chipper for an excellent price if interested. It has a 14HP engine on it. I prefer it over the 2-wheel tractor chipper versions.

Do you know if the Blitz fits BCS wheels as well as PTO implements? Thanks
@DaileysFarmTools
@DaileysFarmTools 9 ай бұрын
Hi @metalboyonline. Thanks for contacting us. Yes, Blitz wheels will fit on BCS and vice versa. However, Similar to Grillo wheels, the Blitz wheels have larger wheel studs on the tractor. A "BCS branded" wheel would need to be drilled out 1 size to fit on Blitz or Grillo wheel studs. Very easy to do. Frankly, the Blitz tires are wider than the BCS anyway, so I would recommend those if you need replacement wheels. And we can save you money by not buying "BCS Branded". By the way, most of the BCS wheels 5" x 12" and up are now made in China. Our Blitz wheels are not made in China. Yes, we have an adapter for the Blitz that allows connection of many BCS branded attachments. If you need pricing on something specific, send us an email. On nearly everything we sell below our listed prices. The Blitz 80 and Blitz 120 run ALL the same attachments as BCS tractors. The only exception to this is a bagging finish mower, which ONLY BCS brand runs in the USA. Grillo brand does not run this either. thanks!

I see the Blitz says made in America, is it North America or South of the border? Secondly, do you ever run across any BCS 853 or larger with the diesel engine option? I regret not purchasing the diesel when I purchased my 853.

Hi Harvey Blitz is actually made in Istanbul Turkey...at least for the last 25 years or so. Prior to that, its origins are an Italian 2-wheel tractor. About 25 years ago, a Turkish company "Yagmur" bought the entire line and since then manufactures it in Turkey.

Hi @FunkyFungiFriends. Thanks for watching. For a professional vegetable grower who is regularly composting beds, it's a no-brainer. it pays for itself. For a home grower it's still awesome and works well, but expensive. Professional on 100' long 30" beds, time wise its 50%+ faster than doing this by hand and that is without taking into account ANY of the physical wear/tear savings to the body. We have them in stock, happy to ship you one if you need. Thanks!

What about using the old hiller-furrower attachment?
@DaileysFarmTools
@DaileysFarmTools 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. In this case that tool would have been useless. It may be hard to tell in video, but that is a very tall bed. If I ran the hiller/furrower on 2 wheel tractor or wheel hoe it would have pushed some soil to the side and created a furrow, but no soil would have gotten on top of the bed due to its height. So, in this case the Ridger 2 worked perfect. For other applications, hiller/furrower can work great and I do use it both on 2-wheel tractor and wheel hoe. In this case though, we were really testing a new attachment that had just come out...to see if it would throw soil up on the bed. It did. Thanks!
