Hey, Tristan, I am glad you are pondering about what is fun, contrasted to your usual demand for more discipline and work. It seems your dream is to become rich enough, such as from passive income, so that you no longer need to work. But, when you get there, will you know what you want to do with your time? For me, I have been wondering about this for a while now. I am almost at a point where my passive income will allow me to stop working (at least for other people). And, as I approach this point, I have actually been taking time off to try to figure out what I want to do with my time. And, this, by the way, is why I have started to comment on your videos, since I am in the midst of one of these mock retirements. So far, I have discovered that socialization is important to keep me happy, especially if I can be useful and helpful to people, not by providing them with money and material things, but through giving them good ideas and helping them organize their thoughts. And, from my experiments, I am also finding that creating things on the Internet, sharing them with people, and being helpful and getting people's thanks and praises seems to be most satisfactory and fulfilling. And, I think I have reached a point where I am constantly creating things (while watching KZbin during the creation process, including your videos) and have found ways to blend work and play together, to keep myself busy while living fulfilling days. And, often, I have to remind myself to take breaks from my creating process; and, I find it very vital to go to the gym and take walks, go on bike rides, and do other sporty things because they make me physically feel good afterwards; and, it greatly helps that I live close to beaches, harbors, and piers so that these exercise outings are that much better, all year round including winter, with beautiful sceneries, ocean breeze, and such. I believe, when I retire on passive income, I need to continue to live by the beach or at least somewhere busy, like Las Vegas, for example, or maybe have a home at both places like a summer home and a winter home, for example; I can see this as a possibility based on my financial plan, as long as World War III does not break out and climate change does not derail my plans. Anyways, I am sharing some of what I have discovered so far with you in hopes they will help you plan your retirement. And, maybe you too might want to do these mock retirements before you jump into it too quickly and become bored out of your mind, as a result. As usual, I am just trying to be helpful. I am actually surprised you are achieving your physique through an apartment gym alone; I got a gym membership since my apartment gym is way too limited; good job!

Suggestions: I would suggest way more weight for traps - backend those to avoid fatigue on other exercises. For rows, and other pull exercises, slow down the reps, and pause for about a second at the base of each rep. Renaissance Periodization has lots of videos on this. Honestly I've seen huge changes using this technique. Also, why not do some videos about your conservative politics? How training interconnects to your sense of discipline and focus?

I have quite a lot of free time and I want to find earnings on the internet and develop myself. I don't have my own gym or dumbbells, I live in a hostel and there's not even room for push-ups (sometimes I do them), I can solve this problem with a gym, but I have certain complexes (I'm afraid of appearing weak and clumsy in the gym), could you give some advice, I understand progress is constant, but I could use practical advice that I can apply. I'll add more, your channel is very good, this is literally the first video and it's wow. keep doing it, you're very good.

If anything I always give guys who I see struggling in the gym tips and try to encourage them and I feel like most people in the gym community are the same way even though it might be intimidating at first you will thank yourself in the end. Also wearing baggy clothes, sweatshirt and sweatpants helps if you are insecure

Hey, Tristan, since you asked for it, here are some honest thoughts that popped in my mind while watching this video. I liked the reflection at the beginning of the video where you discussed how you have changed and what you have learned, but the rest of the video seemed to have meandered, filled with analogies, self-praising, and profanity (which I will touch on more later). The latter half felt like you were reiterating a point, trying to convince people how right you are (not saying you are not right about certain things; it just felt like you were hung up on the point), primarily through alpha techniques, such by insulting people's mothers, insulting the average person's habits (like their eating habits, for example, not saying that they do not deserve some criticism), and such, rather than using logic and rationality, similar to how a drill sergeant would break down the will of a new army recruit so that the recruit would do whatever he says, which is like an alpha animal seeking betas; and, please note that people would often use profanities as a means to intimidate people, similar to how alpha animals would subjugate betas through barking and growling, for example. Whereas, I feel you could have made many of your points through rationality alone since you do have some good reasons to support your arguments, such as how a person would gain more experience from doing something rather than hesitating or how promising to do something on video is likely going to motivate people to do those things after their friends and family see the video, for example. From your vlogging journey, it seems you have gained charisma, primarily through being fearless and confident about speaking whatever is on your mind without hesitation, and you also seemed to have also become quite a salesman or a pitchman, in the sense, after you make a point, you would tend to use many analogies that might be true on their own, but are not directly related to your original argument, so that, by surrounding your argument with other truths, you are trying to make your argument sound true, which is a type of fallacy in logic. But, in the world of sales, this is a common practice where you would talk about so many other unrelated things that make you sound right until the customer feels like an idiot if they do not trust you and buy something from you (since you present yourself as trustworthy and smart, so, therefore, they must be an idiot if they do not listen to you). And, I am not saying that logic and rationality is the way to go either since I am finding that we live in a world where more and more people are responding to your techniques more. In short, I am not trying to put you down; I am merely pointing out that I have noticed you use these techniques; and, the reason why I watch your videos as well as random videos of other vloggers is because I like to study behavior. But, overall, I am questioning what you are hoping to accomplish because, in the end, if you create a library of authoritative videos that have "final say" on certain topics, then that would be the end of your video journey, since you will have nothing more to say after that. So, from a financial perspective, you might want to invite people to follow along your daily vlogs of self-discovery and growth rather than referring them to a static set of videos. Anyways, please understand I tend to watch videos in a detached, unemotional way; and, I would tend to just notice certain behaviors; and, the purpose of this comment is just to share some of my observations with you because I am curious how you will react to my observations.
@Tyler-jq6ol

I rewrote this comment so it's actually readable and makes sense: "Hey Tristan, since you asked for feedback, here are my honest thoughts on the video. I enjoyed the reflection at the start, where you discussed your growth and lessons learned. However, the rest of the video felt a bit unfocused, with a lot of analogies, self-praise, and profanity (more on that later). In the second half, it seemed like you were trying hard to convince viewers of your point-almost overemphasizing it. This came across through "alpha" techniques, such as mocking people's habits (like eating), using aggressive language, and even profanities. It felt similar to a drill sergeant breaking down recruits to assert control, which works in some situations but may not add clarity or logic to your argument. I think you could make strong points without these tactics. You have solid arguments-for example, encouraging action over hesitation and the power of public accountability to motivate. You've clearly gained charisma and confidence from vlogging, which is great. However, at times, it felt like you were using analogies to prop up your arguments rather than sticking to the core point. This approach, common in sales, can make viewers feel pressured to agree without necessarily adding logical support to your arguments. To be clear, I’m not saying logic is the only way; clearly, many people respond to the "alpha" style you use. I’m just observing that, while engaging, it sometimes detracts from your message. I also wonder what your end goal is-if you create authoritative videos that feel “final,” does that limit future content? It might be more sustainable, both financially and creatively, to invite viewers on an ongoing journey of growth and self-discovery, rather than positioning each video as definitive. Anyway, I watch videos with a detached perspective, focusing on behavior, so I’m just sharing some observations. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on them."

@@Tyler-jq6ol Hey, thanks! I tend to write my comments as free flowing thoughts in free-write style and did not realize how much it ran on and on until you pointed it out. Your rewrite seems to change my intended inflection though and makes it sound like I wanted to convince Tristan of certain points in a structured way, like a thesis paper, rather than being merely observations. Hopefully people reading your rewrite realize I did not mean to make a coherent argument to try to change Tristan. As case in point, after you added your rewrite, @mirzab6475 added a comment expressing concern about how we might be hating on Tristan. To be clear to anybody reading this: My original intent was just to give Tristan some of my honest thoughts and definitely did not mean to express any discontent or hate since I do see potential in what Tristan is doing; my thoughts should be read more like a conversation, as if I am asking Tristan why he is doing certain things rather than asking him to stop or putting him down.

Hey Tristan, being subjected to unwanted sexual advances is bad since that is sexual harassment, but I do not believe telling people to stay out of North Dakota while holding a gun is the solution either, especially if your end goal is to try to attract business opportunities. The politically correct way to handle this situation is to reason with your viewers, without singling any particular group out; otherwise, for example, do you think you would be okay if an unattractive girl keeps insisting that she wants to cuddle with you, despite knowing that you have a girlfriend? Also, please note that there is a chance that the people who are leaving those unwanted comments might not be watching your full video to hear your message in the first place. So, what might be more effective is if you create a professional statement that you can copy and paste in response to their comments, explaining to them that their comments are disrespectful and are harassing in nature and explain to them that you will have no recourse but to report them or block them if they do not stop. You need to make it clear to them that their comments are unwelcomed and that there might be consequences if they do not stop; otherwise, they might have no clue, especially if they do not watch your videos all the way through. Anyways, I am glad to see you outdoors in this video, having some fun for a change, even if shooting is not something I enjoy. In your videos, you seem to be constantly advocating for working hard, being disciplined, and such, but the obvious question that pops in my mind is why should people live like this? What is the point? Do you not believe in a balance between work and play? Since you have friends and a girlfriend, you must spend some time with them. So, in your opinion, how many hours should everybody work every day versus how many hours should they be allowed to play? And, whatever answer you come with, can you explain why it is better compared to other numbers? Otherwise, if you keep working hard to collect money and knowledge indefinitely, will you not just end up dying rich and knowledgeable? Having discipline is good in order for people to sustain themselves in this capitalistic world, so they they will do their part in society without impoverishing themselves and having to rely on other people for hand outs and not commit crimes in order to sustain themselves; but, you seem to be swinging to the absolute extreme other end. Anyways, I am just giving you some honest feedback because I have been wondering for awhile now why you keep wanting everybody to be so workaholic. I would love to see you vlog your non-work hours more and achieve some sort of balance. Otherwise, we definitely get the message loud and clear that you work hard and are achieving plenty of obvious results! Definitely keep up the good work on that end!

Just found your video and thot to comment. Coffee and pee smell. I'm no pee-smell expert. I might be a combination of foods and supplements you take in addition to coffee. I love coffee and like good quality (even what I buy at Costco is good). I grind my own beans to keep the brew fresh. As for your question about where to put muscle I have no guidance there. I'm 6'3" and weigh 178 lbs. I wrestled in school for 6 years. After college I started playing volleyball in various leagues. I found some former high school wrestlers had formed a wrestling league and joined that. I'm naturally lean but sports keeps me more or less shredded all year. This summer a gymnast came to train at our gym for some high school reunion exercise challenge. I had never meet a gymnast in person. He trained shirtless and had one of the best physiques I'd seen in person and I seen lots of outstanding athletes in high school and college. He trained his abs insanely hard for the challenge. His arms are large but I don't need arms that big. He's got large triceps which are pretty dope. And I'll take his 4 rows of deep muscled abs all the time! He got me training more seriously. For you I'm guessing getting larger triceps will help. I've not wanting to get more size but do want more strength. And I've upped my abs workouts a lot. I used to hate training abs as they always looked fine. But now I'd say abs are my favorite muscles. I got a new appreciation for pull ups and rope climbs. I learned muscle ups this summer which was dope (for me anyways). I wish you the best--and I love your name Tristan Quibell. Quite unique.

Hey, Tristan, in your video, you asked for our opinion about where you should pack on more muscles. I am of the opinion that you should not gain any more muscle and should go into maintenance mode and maybe focus on decreasing body fat instead (not that you have to go very far, but you know having a vein or two here and there looks better and is what is commonly referred to as being "shredded", like in the title of your video). I am of the opinion that being able to manipulate slightly above your body weight should be sufficient or else anything above that would make you look like you are trying too hard. You might want to ask your girlfriend what she thinks because it is known that being too muscular does not look good to girls and everybody else, including the weightlifter; it is more of an obsession instead. I definitely do not think you have gone into the overworked zone yet and look fine as you are. I guess you could compare yourself to Greek and Roman statues; if you are buffer than them, then you have gone too far; instead, you seem to be in the upper range, so I would not recommend going much further or else you will start losing aesthetics. Also, you asked about coffee and body odor. I only consume a few grams of coffee, do not use deodorant or cologne, but have no body odor. I asked Perplexity AI about this, and Perplexity confirms that coffee is not known to cause BO but suggests that, since it could cause you to sweat more (due to caffeine), it might just be amplifying an odor caused by another source. I subsequently asked Perplexity what foods are known to cause BO (I already know the answer but wanted to confirm), and Perplexity says, besides foods like garlic, onions, and asparagus, the most likely cause of your BO is red meat, and coffee is only just making you sweat it out more, you know? Besides sweat, red meat is also known to cause your urine and all other bodily fluids smell bad. Anyways, hope this helps.

Hey, Tristan, if you like educational stuff, may I recommend Perplexity AI? It is available as a website or a phone app and makes Internet searches much easier since it understands language, and you can give it context and subsequent prompts to filter the information you want. Most importantly, when it gives you information, it provides links to the source so that you could verify the source for yourself. For example, I asked Perplexity about your orange egg yolk question, and it explains that the color is dependent on the diet of the chicken but provides no known nutritional difference, while providing links to the sources. Overall, I find it handy for answering my everyday curiosity questions and is useful for fact checking, such as when I come across claims while reading articles or watching videos; I could ask Perplexity to verify whether the claims are true. Oh yeah, please note that recommending getting broken apps or using low quality phones as a means to fix phone addiction is a symptomatic fix and not a root-cause fix. If you like to scroll on the phone, it is typically because you are bored or are looking for socialization, even if it is one-way socialization to see what other people are doing. And, socialization is an important human need (probably why I am commenting on your videos, for example), so you just have to find other ways to deal with it, if you do not like scrolling. For me, I find KZbin to be useful to do social research, such as from watching your videos, for example, to see what people are into, how they are thinking, etc. I do not scroll on my phone since, quite frankly, I do not like watching videos on my small phone; I prefer to watch KZbin on my TV at certain times, in a disciplined way, while knowing what reasons I am watching it for. But, overall, I believe we ought to have apps that work and phones that perform well enough to accomplish what we need to accomplish or else their bad performance will hamper everything else we need to do, like in case a financial app crashes while I am trying to buy stocks, for example, because Tristan said we need bad phones. Anyways, hopefully you are okay with this more intellectual type comment, compared to the regular ogling you seem to keep getting.

@@dv96_dk Tristan does seem to be shirtless often in his videos, frequently starting his videos that way too; but, please keep in mind, in the mind of heterosexuals, they might picture girls thirsting over them while imagining hetero guys wanting to be like him and wanting to follow him, as a result. Whatever the case might be, I do agree with your original comment; rather than fighting this reality, Tristan should probably figure out how to capitalize on this instead. For example, I wonder how well he would do with an OnlyFans account? Otherwise, he is not going to make much from KZbin ad revenue alone, since they are so low, like $1K per 1 million views.
