its a shame that tourists get sucked into visiting some of these lame attractions rather then getting to explore some of the inner city neighborhoods where there is actually interesting local culture and great food etc. like you could have actually just caught a tram from the city to nearby stkilda beach pier (less than 30 minutes) to see penguins in the evening when they come out to feed etc, and also visted nearby acland st for plenty of good food options. there are so many good local spots that dont seem to picked up upon when you watch these kind of videos from overseas visitors which is a shame, it kind of makes you feel like they have missed out on the real experience to a certain extent

I've spent a lot of time on the Island, and have almost been blown away. This year's Moto GP race was rescheduled for Saturday because of the atrocious weather forecast for Sunday. That must be a first. Family friends used to work at the Penguin Parade in the early days. The problem is that people don't adhere to the rules, and would use a flash regardless. Considering it is a vital breeding ground for Fairy Penguins, any environmental impact has to be taken seriously. In those days it was the influx of Japanese tourists, who would also flock to see koalas on the roadside.

It's funny when you've grown up in the area and recognise the very road or surrounds. I almost saw our property. I believe that mountain you can't stop looking at is Brierty. And the neighbouring vineyard you're facing next door to Rochford is the one you probably should have gone to, that's where the real wine is. Rochford is a venue, average wine in comparison.

This road is actually more about the road, rather than the stops along the way, as nice as they may be.

I know it's a late comment for your part 2 of your Australian adventure in Melbourne but I wanted to once again say thank you for sharing your experience, particularly with Australian Wildlife. You should visit wildlife sanctuaries that also educate people on Aboriginal culture. On the NSW Central Coast, there's an animal sanctuary called Walkabout Wildlife Park. It's based in Calga. It's a sanctuary that pretty much educates people on Aboriginal culture and history.

I ask because the team has an American player who has been playing with them now for roughly seven years. His name is Mason Cox. I believe he's from Texas originally. He's doing really well & as of last year was granted Australian citizenship. So he's now a citizen of both America & Australia.

G'day Nai'a! Thank you for sharing your video of your visit in Melbourne! Out of interest, did you go to an AFL game? AFL is played mainly in Melbourne & has the famous MCG. Of course there are clubs in other states of Australia as well such as Sydney Swans (New South Wales), Fremantle Dockers (Western Australia) & Gold Coast Suns (Queensland) to name you three. You should definitely put Sydney as your next place to visit next time you visit Australia as it's where I'm from. Places such as the Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour, Botanical Gardens & the Art Gallery of NSW are my recommended places to visit.
