I bought a new battery. Was a firmware update that caused the issue so, I refrain from doing any more upgrades. All is now good.

I'm having the same issue with my Mavic Pro battery. Have you found a soltutiin with this problem?

Nope... I purchased a new battery and it works fine. I have not upgraded firmware so, I get a warning every flight that there is a firmware mis match due to the new battery has not had a firmware upgrade... Flies fine so, I am done with firmware upgrades....

Last question, is your drone not turning on also with this battery? And is it the firmware update cause the damage to the battery?

The drone does turn on but just has limited flight time. It appears to me to be a firmware upgrade that caused the issue as it began immediately after an upgrade. However, that could be a coincidence.. Still, No more firmware upgrades for me on the Mavic...

Experienced a very similar issue just the other day, but in a concrete parking lot - wasn't my unit, but felt awful for my friend. He lost one of the legs and scratched up the lens a bit :/
