Haven't seen this movie but saw the original. And I kept thinking "This isn't the joker I know. This is weird..." But looking at him as "a prototype to inspire the person who would become the joker we know" makes it a lot better. Still not my type of movie though. Didn't like the first one either. To each their own I guess.

Joker 2 is a total piece of shit. Todd z Phillips clearly expected audiences for Joker 1 to accept his political messaging, embrace the corrupt Hollywood woke agenda, and to shell out their money to the first film while reviling the Joker character. Well, audiences shelled out a billion dollars but Phillips snd other Hollywood elites hated the fact that audiences actually loved the complexity of the character and rejected the left wing messaging… Joker 2 was a way to fuck with the audience, but in the process created a steaming piece of crap, a damned shows tune infested travesty, and in the process destroyed the character and the legacy of the first movie. Don’t make excuses for this show tune, loony tune piece of left wing progressive crap. As Jessie Waters might say: Permission to make an analogy? Imagine a universe where the “Silence of the Lambs” Director was incensed because the audience loved the characterization and nuances of the film and decided to create “Silence of the Lambs 2” as a way to push woke leftist messaging….a trite, empty-headed sequel featuring Anthony Hopkins’ Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Jody Foster’s Clarice Starling singing and dancing to a bunch of stale musical numbers and broadway tunes, and featuring Clarice manipulating a feeble Dr. Lecter, as everyone else in the film (a diverse, inclusive, equity based group of characters) takes advantage of a suddenly doddering, enfeebled, and weak Dr. Lecter-and ending up with another serial killer gutting Hannibal like a fish and laughing about it… Hollywood and its progressive, left wing, stupid messaging has ruined modern movies. Hollywood hates you if you reject their DEI infested worldview, shallow and hateful pushing of far left messaging at the expense of artistry, and their empty 😮woke politics. Don’t make excuses for this piece of tripe.
