"Because of the angels" I've connected to Ephesians 3:9-10 which says that Paul was given the revelation of the church of Jesus Christ and that God's purpose for the church is to display His infinite wisdom to the rulers in the unseen realm.

I've been covering for a little over 2 years. It's not easy. Oddly, nobody directly asks me about it. They judge me within, and either snub me, make snide remarks, or ignore it completely. 🤷🏼♀️ I wish that they would ask!

Men must have legal authority over women or society will (and has) fallen apart. Right now we have the opposite, female authority over men and it's a disaster.

Hi there! Found you guys via Now That We’re a Family’s recommendation. 👍🏼 I enjoy listening to your podcast. I like the wide variety of subjects you cover, and that many or most of them are practical (and we can apply it in our life). Blessings to your family! On the topic of envy in marriage, I think another big point is being envious of someone else’s marriage. For example, because that person’s spouse is more sensitive, or involved in church, or a handyman, etc. Comparing your spouse to someone else is definitely damaging to a marriage.

When I dont want to be bitter or grumpy I'll say "baby do you think maybe you can (do whatever he hasn't done that I've asked him to do) for me this weekend or a weekend coming up? If you don't have time that's fine just wanted to see if maybe we can put it on the scehdule" If he doesn't I dont say anything for a while then I'll ask the same way again

This is a topic that I find fascinating as I've been struggling with the same questions for a couple of years now. I've been a semi-crunchy mom for a while now but also notice that it is so hard to get things clean. Something that really triggered my questions was the new trend of now boiling our rags, etc on the stove to get them clean. Or soaking our clothing in a bathtub with a concoction of different chemicals to get the dirt and grime out. Why are we having to do this? Isn't it that what our washer is for?

I also agree with other commenters that I came to the show notes to find some links or hopefully Lexy's cleaning recipes, schedule, etc. Hoping that something you could add as it would be very helpful!

I just told my wife that we could do a little science experiment: press the play button and see how long it would take for the kids to start fighting (kids always have the worst timing). We had to pause the episode for discipline at 0:03. I heard the first few words you said, that is all. 😂

There’s just something about this song and Brian suavé voice that makes me feel so calm and joyful. This is my absolute favorite song, I have to turn on a shuffle of Brian’s suavé music for bed for me to be able to sleep. Just close your eyes and play this song and feel the peace and calm. 😌

Red flags and warning bells should come up when someone describes that an artificial head covering is of EXTREME importance like some people in the comments are trying to perpetuate. Most of the time they will make certain unsubstantiated arguments and dance around the topic but never really give you a scripture as to where it is a written that a woman is to wear a synthetic covering much less that it is of extreme importance. Often they will claim that people should look at how the letter was received by the ones to which it was written to, but fail to mention where? But more importantly why should people look to "another" writing? Shouldn't the scriptures be enough to explain itself? This is mostly because they cannot do an exegesis of the scripture and want you to rely on outside sources instead of the Bible just like they do. In addition to this they will claim that because some people wore hats or veils many years ago that this somehow justifies wearing one as a doctrine without learning if was a biblical doctrine. Though it is true that people like Tertullian and others wrote on veiling more than 150 years after the Bible was written it still isn't a biblical doctrine. In regards to Tertullian (aname that often comes up in this topic) agreed that virgins should be veiled (a concept not in the Bible). Given this it is hard to believe that he knew any better about covering as far as the Bible is concerned. Sometimes they will claim that talking about hair or hair length is nonsense. But was it nonsense for Paul to write: Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 1 Cor 11:13 Paul cared about hair length on a man therefore it cannot be defined as nonsense. This kind of thinking is a form of scripture twisting with the hope that people don’t notice what the scriptures really say.

i absolutely LOVED this podcast. i stumbled across it researching human sexuality throughout the different ages. The one thing, i am 40 and divorced.... one son. so many if not literally all of your statements i 100% agree with. however, although i agree with everything you say about roles, responsibilities, expectations, health, and most of all, true mutual understanding of each other and each others needs, please also just consider there are those that have personal morals, ethics, openness, understanding, accepting, faithful, loving..... all of that, along with sin of course. but my own personal morals make me feel guilt and the desire to rectify things and so remorse. i think you guys could include your beliefs in the video of course. it wouldn't be the same without it. but perhaps also address the general population as a whole instead of a specific religious group. i believe you have much to offer to anyone willing to listen regardless of their religion. either way. i thoughtfully enjoyed hearing both of you and your perspectives. well done. just be a bit more accepting of those that can still learn wonderful life lessons that will benefit them and society with a bit less pushing. sorry for the long comment.

My wife and I lost our baby to miscarriage, it’s been nearly three years since then and the Lord hasn’t opened her womb again as of yet. It’s hard to put into words the pain we’ve felt at the lowest times, but also how the Lord has grown us and is working on our trust in Him. We just want our lives to bring glory to the Him in whatever way that manifests. But for any one else reading this comment, who has gone through the same thing, know that your pain is real and that God knows all of it. He loves you more than you could image and there is even purpose buried in the pain. Take heart brothers and sisters God is in control.
