what can I do for my old man's whiskers, plant it usually dies in summer , i keep it under the carport I dont have a shady spot in the garden in winter is fine but summer it just brittles and I wet everyday but it does not help it does not grow, it shrinks I don't know what is wrong do you know?? I have hanged under tree, but it is the same issue thanks

Place it where you get indirect sunlight. Also make sure it’s not subject to too much windy conditions .. winds tend to dry the plants too quickly. If the temperatures are high in you place, misting twice a day should help. All the best.

Keep aglaonema soil semi dry at all times, this will prevent from root rots. All it needs filtered light, avoid direct sunlight.

There are no roots as these are all air plants.

We generally don’t have to repot u till you start seeing baby plants from around it. The plant grows slow in this form.

No they don’t.. because they use the roots only to anchor the plant, the nutrients are absorbed by the funnel in the leaves.

I used mostly locally available bromeliads, and the glue I used is hot melt glue, just making sure I don’t heat it fully, using very low temperature setting.

I see a lot of black cardinal plants that don't grow like yours. Yours spread out but the others grow up without climbing hmmm what is going on?

Give it abundant filtered sunlight and you will see it gets a compact growth with large leaves … if you give it less light it starts getting leggy and stretches to find more light …

@@adorablegreens What I mean is, the ones I saw grow straight up and compact like a trunk. Every Cardinal Black I have seen overseas, has the leaves growing in a spreading out pattern which is so pretty. Do you have a juvenile plant to show us?
