Finally got my form 15400 from Tesla. However, you still cannot file your taxes and claim the credit since IRS form 8936 Clean Vehicle Credit is not finalized by the IRS yet. Estimated date is March 1, 2024. Have no idea what is taking IRS so long to finalize this form.

Thank u so much for posting this video. We auto received the Form 15400 for our MX LR AWD bought in Nov., but not for our M3 SR RWD purchased in Feb. Also researched IRS and it looks like they extended their deadline from the 1/31/24 to 2/15/24....

Hello, I have received the form 15400 two weeks ago, and I am now doing taxes through turbotax, but it seems like there is no way to submit form 15400 to turbotax, is there any other way to submit this form? Or how can we claim this doc to get 7500?

QUESTION PLEASE - SO if this form is present in the site in your account then Tesla has reported your vehicle to IRS and you don't need to do anything (except file your taxes), but if the form is not present then you need to request it from tesla?

Whoa! I am soooooo glad I stumbled upon your video! Today I tried doing my taxes and came across an issue with using the form 8936 and couldn’t proceed further. After watching your video just now, I went to the website, I saw that the form wasn’t available but then I followed your steps and was able to submit. It said the form will be available in 24 hours. Also, when I was attempting to use the 8936 form, there was a notice stating I couldn’t file for the tax credit until 2/21/24. I wonder what the reason is? Is that because of something Tesla hasn’t done on their end? Thank you!!! 👍🏽
