It does have a slide which is mounted to a piece of formply cut to fit the tub. Snug fit so does not move. No drilling into the tub. I have changed it in the second Dmax. Got rid of the large fridge which is now in the Prado and have a single drawer fridge in the back of the Dmax. If I knew how to add a photo of the new setup I would.

Have a look at Ronny Dahl and Tyler Thompson. Load rating on roof platforms is only 50% of stated max load on a smooth road. Platform is Yakima platform X. Made for x terrain. My new ute (replacement) due 28 June.

Ranger does look good and will be the pick of the utes. But that will come at a price. Wildtrack is currently $10k more than an Xterrain and the new one probably even more expensive and not due for order until mid 2022. Who knows when they will be delivered after orders are taken mid 2022. . 2022 X terrain has a bit of extra kit over the 2021 model. I am hoping it includes the off road traction control button in the new MUX because the dmax was shit off road. Better when I changed tyres but still not great. My new Dmax due in may but I bet it comes early. Isuzu announced yesterday the 2022 model is in showrooms from 1 December which is 3 months earlier than first announced. Those waiting for a February delivery may have theirs before christmas. Who knows.....

Have other vehicles with heated seats. Never used by me but wife loves them.

There is a silver lining. The 2022 model has additional features not in the 2021 model. I learnt a lot fitting out this one and will do better on the next one.

What do you mean? I am not selling it. The insurance company is selling it at auction. I have been paid by them the full Australian purchase price.

@@adriancran5909 $62,900 for next years model including colour choice. It has a lot on new kit. Unsure but hope it gets the terrain button that is in the new MUX which addresses the underperforming traction control off road.

D-max pimped out and looks the part. However the 2000 Prado I drove on the same track yesterday is more sure footed. It has a 4 inch lift and the additional ground clearance is nice to have. The AT tyres and 70 profile on the D-Max have made a huge difference to how it performs off road. Great fun in both. Off fishing next week on the beach when lockdown lifts.

All kitted out and ready to go. Lockdown about to end so taking both cars and the trailer camping and fishing with a mate.

It’s an 8’x5’ trailer, forgotten what height it is.

Yes it’s 8 x 5 with a 900 cage. Frame to hold the awning and kayak rack is made by me. 2m heigh clearance for the canopy so no stooping. The trailer cover can still go on and that is why the frame is built the way it is.

I figured at 2400 long I could sleep in it if necessary. Also allows for a rooftop tent should I choose to do that later.

Both fit under the roller cover. I bought a 50l single compartment kings fridge/freezer. $369 so I figured I can’t go far wrong. I will leave the EVAKOOL in the Prado. Can swap them around if required. The EVAKOOL is big but not an issue as I had the tub rack and boy have the roof platform.

I removed the rack and dual battery and fridge etc from the repair holding yard the day after the crash. May put it back a bit different this time. I bought a 2000 Prado Grande to have a 4wd to use while the D - Max was repaired. Despite it being 20+ years old, it’s more capable than the D - Max off road. I have fitted that out already with new gear and will run both cars. Go beach fishing regularly and will take 2 vehicles. Always someone wanting to come along and makes for a fun day or longer trip. I was due in Evans Head this weekend but the lockdown stuffed those plans.

It’s in a piece of formply cut as a tight fit so can’t go anywhere. Closing the tub door further secures it. The Ute will be back from repairs at the end of next week after a three month wait, I will make another video showing it better.

@@petersd-maxadventures8079 So it wasn't a write off, mixed emotions no doubt! Look forward to more DIY, I like the form ply idea but I'd much prefer it fixed to the car, thinking some threaded inserts since I haven't got a tub liner fixed into mine.
