Hey Bob. My name is Will. I'm new here. I just bought a battery replacement and took the MV2 apart. When I took the battery out of the package, I realized that it did not have the head sensor attached to it. Do you think it will work fine without it? Also, great video btw. Thanks.
@FinlessBob2 ай бұрын
No I don't think it will work without a head sensor. Just peal if off the old battery.
@WTC1087Ай бұрын
@@FinlessBob thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, it was literally part off the battery. I thought I could peal it but when doing so, it broke. It looked like it was seriously laminated on it. I thought I could just hit the power button to wake up the unit. (Thinking thats all it does, senses when you put on or take off). The farthest I got so far was take it apart and install the battery. Havnt yet the time to attempt to assemble. Thanks

I am curious about the belt tension adjusters on each side. I will loosen my axle bolt first. Then I want to adjust my new 24RTL belt. I can see videos where they adjust the belt but no one says which direction tightens or loosens the tension on the adjusters.

If you turn it clockwise like you are tightening a bolt, it will make the belt tighter.

that second cable is the BMS since it was added to the main board. This is super easy to work on compared to the Nikon D1X by a long shot. Couldn't you just add an external battery via USBc to get it to work?

How important is removing the shock bolt? I’m having trouble getting it to line up for the axle install, could that be the issue? I didn’t remove it as I don’t have a motorcycle lift, so my floor jack is lifting at the shock
@FinlessBob6 ай бұрын
First lifting at the shock is not a good idea as it bends the shock bolt! You "may" be able to get the tire out if you don't remove the shock bolt if you jack it up higher. Maybe, not sure. The reason for removing the shock bolt is to gain more clearance (the swing arm drops lower) to get the tire out without having to remove the RT's rear panel.

I dare you to try this: Ikea $7 4x AA/AAA dv/dt charger Ikea $10 4x AA 2450mah nimh cells 🙂
@jimmybrad1567 ай бұрын
New NiMH cells do need to be cycled a few times. Charged ones seem to lose ~16% state of charge after a couple of months but the self-discharging mostly flattens after that.
@jimmybrad1567 ай бұрын
The USB-rechargeable AA's i've got (lithium/lipo) last very close to 6 months because of the internal circuit constantly sipping from the lipo cell.
@jimmybrad1567 ай бұрын
Careful if wanting to recharge while still in the device.. a lot of these put 5v across its output instead of 1.5v when the USB power is plugged into it.. a lot of (if not most of) the loads will be fried with 5v instead of 1.5v. I'd remove them before charging, for this reason.

Noticed the battery connector was not all the way in. So I pressed it on the socket and now it won't turn on at all, no light nor turning on. I believe something else is bad or the battery I ordered is defective... Need to test it for power with a multimeter...

Enjoyed your Climb videos. I have it, but I'm afraid of heights (really, just afraid of falling), so it's taken me a while, but I'm getting better. After 2-3 weeks, I've managed to complete the beginner in casual of 4 of the locations (not the city yet). I started a couple of medium, but I still struggle with the jumping. Not so much on a game level, but just in my head. 🙂 I didn't know there were those bonuses at the ends. I wonder if that's just professional and not casual. I'll keep progressing. Thanks for showing some things I can look forward to.

This doesn't make sense. So the Ni batteries show 80% because they only have 1.2v, I'm with you makes sense. But they dokt work right? But all other bstteries work even below 1.2v? I'm thinking its something else. Also Alkaline last roughtly twoce as long as the Ni snd ober that for lithium. So assuming a safe guess at 2x as much power it would take you 20+ months to get through a 20 pack of amazon basocs AA batteries assuming they last 2 months if the lithiums last you 1 month. Price wise you could buy roughly 60 alkline batteries vs an 8 pack of lithiums. So it would take you 60 MONTHS to BREAK EVEN. 5 years lol. Those lithiums sre going to be in the garbage by year 3 guaranteed.

The original Kenda tires ARE car tires they are just horrible car tires. Best practice is to go with some other brand car tie and set the front to 14psi and rear to 24psi and you should see 45k miles. Achilles, federal and kumho are great options
