I’d imagine trying some kind of pattern on cloth like that would help distract from you not being as comfortable with fabrics yet; doesn’t have to be anything crazy thick stripes or blocks of contrast color could work and add some visual interest as well. Overall tho a fantastic job! I love seeing how come experimentation while crafting can lead to extra cool stuff like this, and I love all the little details.

Beautiful work. I find that moss useful, for several things, but super brittle; trade-offs. I'm kinda blown away by the toothpick highlight thing; I guess always looking at stuff at half an arm's length, I forget to think about how it will appear, on the table
@hacknslashcraftsАй бұрын
Finding that out for myself, this bundle of moss is the first time I've worked with it. Anything in particular you think it excels at? Also thank you so much for the kind words, I felt like I was doing something foolish while I was painting but was also surprised by the appearance from a distance.
@CampaignTerrainАй бұрын
First, a warning: What I'm about to suggest is best done outside, and with a mask on... I tend to pulse that type in a coffee grinder, then use that multi-coloured dust, as a perfect moss paste. Mix in bit of white glue, and smear it wherever. Especially good at hiding "less than beautiful" parts of a build, such as cracks, bald spots, and anywhere the under parts show through. Just know, when you take it out of the blender, it will be _massively_ dusty, at first. Just let that junk blow away. The heavier stuff is what you want Or... I sometimes I don't blend it, and spread a lot of white glue, then glue that sheet of stuff down, like a mossy carpet. Great for "earthen" roofs, jungle floors, etc. Luck! 🤞

I never cease to be amazed by the talent and creativity of people! Edit: first time viewer who has never built a mini-anything giving unsolicited advice. Not sure if you’ve ever used podiatry/pedicure tools? There are these things called ingrown toenail tools. They are about the length of a pencil, made of metal, and double ended. Because they are meant for toenails, one of them has a very tiny file on one end and a “lifter” on the other. The other instrument has like these teeny tiny scoops. Point is, they may work perfectly for scraping, lifting, and placing things on small areas. They are metal so you can really apply pressure. And bc the ends are so small, you can really get into areas that your fingers can’t. They may be worth looking into!

add a place to put one of those scent cones in the well the smoke will add a cool effect and on very bottom have a air tube that puffs a little puff of air every once in awhile and a flickering flame lite on the very bottom the effect would be cool and have a use other than decoration and a more people will want one have a friend that did the dioramas like yours only few people wanted to buy so he made them have uses like a lamp , table , bed and of course he made the fountains also like I mentioned above it would be cool to see that

Very nice diorama, congratulations ! I watch your KZbin channel from the south of France 😊 Where did the rails and the wagon come from ? What are the different "gravel" to make the soil ? Thank you !
@hacknslashcrafts2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching, and hello from the States! The rails and wagon are 3d printed from these assets: www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-mine-railway-and-miner-carts-228221. If you don't have access to a resin printer, "O" scale model train track would be pretty close. The gravel mix is from Geek Gaming Scenics, their main shop is out of the UK so I don't imagine shipping would be too bad to France (www.geekgamingscenics.com/)

Love the end result. Very spooky and creepy. While I like the idea of a tree in a graveyard producing poisonous apples the tree you made appears to have been dead for a long time. The apples looked like out of place christmas ornaments as opposed to something that actually grew on the tree. If you wanted to do a tree that produce poisonous apples you would need to do a lot of smaller, thinner branches. If you didn't want to take the time to make smaller branches all over the tree you could still make most of it dead with just a couple of lower branches still alive and producing fruit.
@hacknslashcrafts2 ай бұрын
That's a really thoughtful critique, thank you. Hit the nail on the head with the Christmas ornament thing - more branches would probably really have helped the "creepy but not long-dead" feeling
