I'm 30 and grew up with my dad showing me old comedies like the Two Ronnies, Benny Hill, and more obscure things like Robin's Nest, the Liver Birds, etc... he never showed me Dave Allen. It cam cup in my recommended and I'm hooked. Absolute comedy genius.

Oh my god... Allen thinking of people in the year 2020, asking for a raise so they have £350 a week and have to work Wednesdays... I'm watching in 2024 when minimum wage for 40 hours a week (including Wednesdays) is about £490. He wasn't far off for 2020... also a really unfortunate year.... If only he knew what horror was coming...

As a kid in the 70s I had a small b&w TV in my bedroom. While turning the outer dial of the changer knob without actually turning the knob, the channel tuned into one I hadn't known about and Dave Allen was on. Watched him ever since.

I used to watch Dave Allen in the 70's, 80's, 90's and it's 2024 now and thank goodness for KZbin I've found him again. I'm 79 now and he was the best and is still the best. Thank you lad for all the hours of pleasure you have given me and millions of others.
