I started taking your classes after receiving an Ayurvedic consultation where the practitioner suggested many changes in my daily practices including yoga every morning. When I looked up Ayurveda and yoga, I found you here and have now been cycling through your classes since early May, 2024. I am wondering what is happening with your retreat center in Guatemala as I watched your short video where you mentioned that you were selling it. Also, are you going to continue making videos? Are you in New York City? I sometimes visit as I lived there for many years and love to go back! Thank You for these great classes Doron! Evelyn

Hi Evelyn, so happy you found me here, and that you are practicing. Where do you live now? I will return to the center this November for one more yoga teacher training. Want to join? Then I will shift to more online work - more videos, and online teacher training, and some other online programs, such as Ayurveda and Yoga. You can find my email on the contact of my website - www.doronyoga.com

This is great, I've just started looking properly at the intermediate series and it is tough. I am finding the back bends really challenging. This is a great video as you give alternatives and warm ups for the challenging poses. Also everything is done at a nice pace. Thank you I will be revisiting this video :)
@DoronYoga17 күн бұрын
Do it a few times, step by step, and you will get better at it. You don't need to reach your full potential immediately; just be where you are today. Subsribe, as I plan to add videos soon to break it down further.

thank you for providing such a great class... when an injury comes is easy to feel overwhelmed with the sensation of loosing the practice, but yoga is always the best healer

I agree. It's better to modify and do something. Once healed, it's easier to get back into full practice.

0:04 Ashtanga was my gateway to yoga at 30 when a dancer friend shared her practice. It was a revelation and I practiced on and off for 20 years. After exploring other forms and modalities, now at 62, I found myself realising just how cleverly integrated it is in drawing so many wisdoms together. After exploring recent understandings of vagal tone I felt a yearning for the refined integration of breath and movement, strength and softness from Ashtanga. This short version has been my pathway back. I’m going slowly and gently, loving the way I feel myself unfolding and welcoming the practice back in. It’s amazing how memories of wonderful intensities and connections come flooding back. This practice is a wonderful teacher. It’s been over a month of regular practice now with this and some of your other classes, and I’m beginning to feel curious to try the full practice. Maybe soon! Thank you for providing this perfect way back for me ❤
