I was taught to use trim and that screwed me up. No more using that trim.

Yeah it could get tricky especially for beginners, that is why I always suggest practicing without the trim for starters, that way you get to develop a real feel for the aircraft.

Could you demo how to setup the steep spiral from the right seat? I’m struggling on figuring out how to setup the maneuver and conduct it from the right seat, as you can’t really see your point.
