One has to admire the consistency of Scientologists, managing to be at the same time a pseudo-science and a pseudo-religion. It's like their greed would not let them choose between religion-minded and science-minded people, so they went for both target audiences at the same time.

I went thru this treatment in 2008 I was addicted to Oxycontin. I've been sober ever since. They never mentioned anything about scientology. They even had a shuttle service to take us to church. The designer of the program L Ron Hubbard was in scientology. Some of the exercises they had you perform help you become more aware of reality and social skills. The teachers of the program could see that I was not ready to graduate. So they kept me around for an extra mounth or so. I was ready to relapse I'm glad they kept me because I finally gained control of reality and graduated. Thank you narconon your program saved my life.

And Narconon is still operating to this day

I hated it while I was there but its the only rehab that's ever worked for me. I'm 11 years clean. The sauna detox made me feel better then I've ever felt in my life. I could think faster, see better and i had tons of energy. I was only yhere for a month and a Half and it worked for me. I didnt have the cravings when i returned home. I was in the one in Kalamazoo, Detroit. They never said anything to us about scientology. I found out when i waa reading the science behind the sauna program, which my fanily could only afford. Then i saw who wrote the book and knew ot was the scientology guy but the science i remember behind it was that drug residue gets stored in your fatty tissue and releasing over time and thats why even after you're clean, one day you'll just have a drug craving and thats what also made me relapse everytime. But after the sauna detox i never had a craving afterwards. I always heard once an addict you'll always be an addict but thats not how i feel. I despise drugs. I dont wann abe around anyone thats doing it. It makes me realize why nobody wanted to be around me back then. So take it with a grain of salt but this rehab helped me. Mainly the saune detox. I actually wish i knew what supplements theybuaed because i wanna do it now, so i can get that feeling of being witty and energized and feeling new. Lol

Reason being as an addict you're so used to lying and feeling guilty that its very hard to keep eye contact with people. Try keeping eye contact with someone that's an addict, they cnat longer then a few seconds. So the staring at people thing actually helps you get comfortable looking at someone in the eyes when uou talk to them. I thought it was the dumbest thing i ever heard when i was told to do it. Until after i started noticing it was almost natural to look at someone in the eyes as i would have a conversation. i mean if you can look at someone in the eyes for 45 minutes without flinching, laughing etc. Then it becomes nothing when you do it while having a conversation. I get it the program is unorthadox but i had been to serveral rehabs before this one none of them worked. This is the only one that worked for me. I was actually trying to find the supplements they used during the sauna detox, so i can do it myself now. Lol then i saw this video and clicked. Lol i know theres niacin, fish oils, tons of vitamins and theres one that breaks down your fatty tissue that i cant find the name of.
