This was great, Dod Knob jokes and all. It took me a few nights to get through but saved me a lot of manual time.

Thank you for this, it is an amazing comparison video and has been instrumental (pun somewhat intended) in figuring out what to expect from the volca fm. Keep up the amazing work.

i see that this video is old and the following wont matter now or be seen much but...... the drembo m series although tacky to the touch are relatively decent input and output hardware wise.... i havent yet watched the entirety of your video but see that youve gon e the master output route..... as in through the lbelled outputs. the mixer can be directly connecred to pc/chromebook/smart device through the usb port and can both send and receive = an audio intterface in itself! when plugged in to a device it sends all channels to the connected device but on channel 3/4 (5/6 for the m6) theres a button labelled st/usb - st is for the inputs using the built in player (eg bluetooth or flash drive usb) and usb is for audio output from the device. potentially allowing for further effects from device/pc but also use with a dAw - seems that its only one channel interface for the entirety of the mixer but with device master audio out thru to the mixer offers a plethora of routing methods.

Functionality wise, I'm trying to decide between buying a Sample 1 and install the Pajen firmware vs buying a Sample 2 and get the Retrokit RK-002 smart MIDI cable. Is there an advantage of either setup? Am I mixing oranges with apples?
@parasiteunitАй бұрын
My view, (this is from someone who has used samplers with FLOPPY DRIVES in) is that the MK1 sample is a great hands on instrument, but with a limited sequencer. The MIDI implementation out the box lends itself to an external sequencer that's got the MIDI parameters mapped well - this will expand the instrument vastly. Imagine, using the Storage for 50 samples (longer loops and such) then running 32, 64 or even 128 bar sequences... Have a bunch of blank patterns on the Volca stored, but with different sample set ups and such, that would really, REALLY be expanding it's use and purpose. You could still do the muting/filtering/effects live (reverb fade ins are just awesome) and not need spare fingers for pattern adjustments....

Hi! : ) I wonder if you can help me confirm a thing ... There is something with my Volca ( or it's that way on all volca Sample 2 ) ... I have a pattern with some muted samples. When I use the "solo" function, it does what it does, but after I turn the "solo" off, all parts are unmuted automatically. I want the muted to stay muted, but may be that's how the Sample 2 works ? : )

Wait a minute. You start your demo showing that you have a separate, 48v phantom power module added to your mic input line, which is how we're hearing you talk with a condenser mic. OK. But then you TURN ON THE BOARD"S PHANTOM POWER -- WITHOUT REMOVING THE OUTBOARD POWER MODULE. ????? Why would you do that? Of course you'll have problems if you apply 48v board power to an already (outboard) powered mic.

I am trying to do arp octave. In this video you; 1. hold a note 2. hold shift then presses oct+ and it does an octave two note arpeggio, whilst on mine nothing happens... its such a simple process that I cant see where im going wrong. The controller is going into a behringer k-2 when i hold shift oct+ or oct- lights up by itself. I notice in the video this doesnt happen
