@@kevin77tw certainly, it's here: gitlab.com/player-piano/ There are a few changes we plan to make before ordering some more though. Off the top of my head... some of the connectors could do with labelling, it's tricky to put them together without reference to the circuit designs. Also we would add header pins on the CPUs so that you can use them for other functions, for instance driving LED strings in time with the music. I think we'll actually modify the design so that each board drives 12 notes rather than 16, i.e. one octave, and use different shift registers. That will make it easier to trace through if there is a fault, and will let you coordinate the LED colours on the boards with the keys above.

@@electricplayerpianos Nice to meet you. Thank you for sharing such a great system. I think I will try it. I will always pay attention to your channel. I’m looking forward to your revised new work. I saw your sharing about adding AI on 6/5. It’s very novel. I hope I can learn more from you. Thank you.

Running total is around £500-700 of parts (pounds and dollar values are pretty interchangeable for things like this). We've had the piano for nearly 20 years, and it cost £50. Next step is to hook it up to an AI, and a MIDI files library. I've been working on software for that recently, hopefully have something to show by next week.

The component costs for this conversion are around the $500-800 mark - while commercial conversions cost $6K plus (the sky is the limit) and you have to ship the piano to the conversion company. So it's out of the budget range for the average old piano sat in a corner gathering dust. Would you buy a self-fit kit for a fair price? How much is fair?

Have you got the manual for it? I seem to recall there is a function to split the keyboard on some of these old Clavinovas. Maybe you need to reset it somehow?
@user-mo4ul5td2p
@user-mo4ul5td2p 9 ай бұрын
Yes i have it but Split IS to Split beteewen internal song generator and external midi master without song inside it not Split the keyboard In two internal mini keyboard like i have. More over the reset procédure press max right Key on startup dont do the trick. I suppose because the Key note played IS wrong... The midi message are wrong and crazy on right side like note on 145 but it should only in the 21-108 interval regarding midi protocole. I dont know what cause this !

... sounds like a faulty track or connector related to an address circuit. When the symptoms are seeing something being duplicated I'd suspect that one digital address line is being held low - at least that's often the case in old arcade game pcbs! I'd open it up and use a multimeter to test for continuity on both ends of any ribbon connections from the keyboard to the main pcb.
