He certainly knows how to make it sound interesting. I must keep my eye out for the UDO team synths.

My dream was to make an "modern" prophet 2000 with that low bit samples with an analog filter. This might be it? Not sure yet

bad news for Kiviak...Today Polyend just release Polyend synth ,3 synth multitimbral with 11 Engine ,one from them is Granular and this Fantastic Synth cost 499 Euro ..... This Wofi is way too expensive...UNder 500 you r not gonna sell many of them

bad news it was yesterday ;) The granular is monophonic. checking the resonance from the day 1 videos (clicks), it's not a big topic ;)

The recorded samples seem to sound like they are a bit too live or with extra headroom? Its almost like recording with a mic and the sample includes the distance to the mic. Is that maybe a matter of reducing the quality of the recording down or do you just have to use the filter to reduce the open air ness?

Honestly, now is clear that this is a mega digitone II , the shape of the keys buttons and the green color are the main signs. I am sure this is not the final design, and for sure here there are samples and sampler, like in the machinedrum .

Great video. It sounded better on Emily's harp but on the synths the sounds are a bit let down. But it's great pedal if you don't have any reverb yet. (then again I'm using pedals that cost many times more than this)

I have a DR-2. I'm glad I got it, because of the diversity of percussion models (and now a bass synth model, too). For example, the Tenor Drum and the Glass Bottle models sound quite distinctive and contribute to the instrument's unique sound. The firmware upgrades have made the instrument significantly better over time. The DR-2 is of course quite serviceable for Techno, but its more experimental features sit well in an "intelligent dance music" type of sound as well.

I really like the DR2, played it two times a little bit longer and a lot of fun. Sounds very powerful and sophisticated. Would like to get one when it’s a little bit cheaper ;-)

Interesting review. The MkIII has been a real disappointment. The removal of four pads, the buttons, CV and gate, expression... add to that that I still have no problems with the knobs or rotary wheel... It will not be a MkIII for me. I hope they rectify this on a MkIV version.

I agree with you in principle. But with the current firmware, the WoFi is missing some of things that are actually taken for granted. You only notice this when you take a closer look at the device. But the device is very new on the market and Kiviak is currently working on the firmware, so I think the guys should be given the chance to make improvements. Otherwise, the device would not really be a bargain...

The texturer is very dominant and has a strong influence on the sound. This makes everything sound very similar, just like the "Texturer". How often should you use it? It quickly becomes a "one trick pony" as there are no "bread and butter" effects.

What other sampler do you suggest?
@manfredalbrecht648
@manfredalbrecht648 22 күн бұрын
There is currently no comparable keyboard sampler. However, the WoFi lacks simple effects such as delay and/or reverb, I think and hope that this can be implemented with a future firmware upgrade. The sampler was designed specifically as a portable device and is therefore actually the perfect "backpack sampler". I don't want to lug any external effects devices around with me.

I would love to understand more about how/why The Frap Tools guys are what they consider as "premium" quality eurorack modules. Would you consider making a video on this topic that delves a bit into what is going on under the hood or anything else that contributes to the "premium"-level designs? I get the feeling that they are premium, and I honestly watch more videos about frap tools modules than any other brand, however I can not afford them just yet.
