FINDINGS: Lumbar lordosis is straightened. Mild spondylotic changes are seen in the form of small marginal osteophytes and early disc dessication. Mild diffuse posterior disc bulge with thecal sac indentation at L4-5 level. 2.Mild to moderate diffuse disc bulge with posterior central and left paracentral disc protrusion, at L5-S1 level, indenting thecal sac, attenuating lateral recess, causing mild compression over traversing nerve root on left side. Axial AP canal diameter ~ 10.1mm. Rest of the vertebral bodies are normal in height, alignment and marrow signal intensity. Posterior spinal elements are normal. Rest of the intervertebral discs are normal in height and signal intensity. Bony canal is capacious at all levels with no obvious canal stenosis. Distal cord and conus medullaris region appear normal in MR morphology. Pre and paravertebral soft tissues are normal. Bilateral SI joint appears normal. Rest of spine (on T2W mid sagittal images) reveals no significant abnormality. IMPRESSION: MRI LS spine reveals early spondylotic changes with: Mild diffuse posterior disc bulge with thecal sac indentation at L4-5 level. Mild to moderate diffuse disc bulge with posterior central and left paracentral disc protrusion, at L5-S1 level, indenting thecal sac, attenuating lateral recess, causing mild compression over traversing nerve root on left side.
