I think it's probably a really great hit Dean. I'm probably still gonna stick with my square ones and I have a simple theory with the square ones is that there is no vignetting now I know they say there's no vignetting in thes. But every circular filter I've ever had has darker corners I've got the Nisi filters but the 100 mm ones. And yes, it's a touch slower setting it up but to be honest I carry a little bum bag that sits on my waist which I have the filters inside that so I can quickly change them easy enough. I think it's a really good initiative by Nisi

Mr. Cooper, I just thought I'd return here to thank you for this information as it was invaluable to me for making my decision. I have finally received my tripod setup. It is based on the AR-3204 legs and the VA-5x head. Living so far, I had to make the purchase blind but I couldn't be happier with the products and how they all fit together. 🙏

I saw one review saying it flexed a bit, making long exposures blurry. have you had that issue?
@deancooperphotography28968 ай бұрын
I have been using mine quite a while now. I'm using a hefty GFX Fuji camera and Yes there is a small amount of flex but it certainly has not effected the sharpness of my images. Flex is not play hence not an issue for me. Hope that clears it up for you. The flex is due to the design of this style of mount not a fault as such

You are always warned that if you use a raw file the histogram is not that accurate because it is created from a jpg image. That is true but if you use a raw file and make lots of shots you will learn how to read the jpg histogram and do some compensation to make it work after processing with your raw file. Usually a tiny bit of histogram clipping will be handled with the high resolution raw file. Just keep shooting and learn how to handle the composition for each composition.
@deancooperphotography28968 ай бұрын
yes and another trick is to dial down your camera settings that create that jpeg!! The fuji cameras are very good at this and mine is very close to the end Raw!!

A quick note for anyone cleaning the metal bits; they're not steel (some may be but not all). Most are coated aluminum. So don't make my mistake of being easily distracted and after placing them in the vinegar, come back later and find the coatings been stripped and now they're pitted and brittle. On the plus side, Sirui does sell replacement parts...

This has been the most indispensable accessory to my dslr for over a decade. In recent years I replace the neck loupe holder with the belt retractable lanyard so it no longer gets in the way of the camera. Perfect combo.

@deancooperphotography2896 Жыл бұрын
Hmm that is odd, what are the exact dimensions of the image you are uploading??
@MarilynJWenker Жыл бұрын
@@deancooperphotography2896 Hi, thank you for writing. I'm posting small paintings. some are squareish and some are horizontal. I'm now guessing that I should crop the image to a square. using 1080 pixels for the width whatever the shape. I kept losing the sides of the images.
@deancooperphotography2896 Жыл бұрын
Marilyn, there should be no issue with posting a sq or horizontal image, so I'm not sure why it is cropping them. If you make a horizontal 1080 wide then the height is lower so IG shouldn't crop, can you email me an image at [email protected] and I will resize it for you. Are there some cropped sample on IG that I can see?? what is your IG handle. cheers Dean

Great review. I have one and am very happy with it. Very comfortable for me. ( 6'3" 18" torso ) . The need for adjustable fit positions are not necessary. The price is absolutely justified in my opinion. Don't have to buy extra cubes, pouches on hip belt, smart water fits in shoulder strap pouches, all the things you'd have to pay extra for with the other brands. Also have a Shimoda and the Tenzing is that and more.

Hello mate, are you still using this tripod? I'm wondering how it's held up compared to the other newer tripods you've reviewed.
@deancooperphotography2896 Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes I'm still using this tripod, it was my main tripod for about 3 years, I then built "The Beast" and that is now my main tripod that I use. the W2204 is now about 5-6 years old and still gets a lot of work and is super reliable. The main thing is to wash it if in salty or dusty environments. In the time I have had mine it has been stripped twice for a full clean and relube, once was to do a video and the other time I had lent it to a client who laid it on the sand, so it needed a clean. I mainly use it now as my video tripod and it is still going fine, I highly recommend them. If you wanted to look at the Beast tripod I built, here is the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3LLaqynmr6SqrMsi=EdBGPpFhfOuVPzev Cheers and thanks for watching, Dean
