No, you just hit the rotor with a rubber mallet until it comes off. I suppose you have figured that out but info for the next person

So it is not necessary to remove the spindle nut to get the brake disk off? I see the spindle nut is still present and the brake disk is off. I have a 2002 C5 Corvette I want to replace the brake disk. Any information would help. I don't know if I have to buy a 33 mm socket to remove the spindle nut. The internet is telling me to use a 36 mm. I have a 36 mm and it looks too large. I got my calipers to measure the nut from the flat surface to flat surface and got 33 mm.

Be mindful of getting the front aligned. Lowering your ride is the easy part. Caster and camber, along with bump-steer is important for track days. Good video young man.

I would like to see a short video on how it turned out. I’m facing the same dilemma on my c6.

Good vid. My '04 C5 is at factory ride height. It's the first after three previous cars, spanning over 20 years, not being lowered on coil overs or the last car on lowering springs. I had new Bilstein B6's along with C6 sway bar end links installed. My coworker said I should lower it because of the gap between the tire and fender. It doesn't bother me and it rides good with the Bilstein shocks at the current ride height. For being a "sports car", it is fairly low already.

No point to this video my guy, showed nothing. It's easy but still waste of time

Nice video. I’m going to look into this. Just bought a C5 FRC and it’s so low it’s more like a gravel grader…:-)
