I have had my eyes on the mid sized version of this one, Ken. My hands aren't as big as yours, and now I'm curious about that bump on the grip. I may have to hold one before I purchase it. Otherwise, I really like this series as they immediately got my attention. Thanks, Ken!

Great review. I hated Spyderco for their looks and know for some reason I'd love to buy so many of them.

I’ve thought about a Leek a few times. I have a few assisted opening, all SOG. It’s the closing I don’t much care for. The smaller ones aren’t so bad though. The Twitch 2 is my favorite assisted so the Leek is a consideration. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The rear "lock' is for pinning down the blade when closed. It's like a manual safety to keep it from opening in your pocket. I love mine and carry every day. The blade takes and keeps an edge well for me. The clip is reversible.

I own a Leek, nearly identical to yours, mine has partially serrations. One of the last Kershaws in my collection. Thanks Ken. The secondary lock keeps the blade closed while in your pocket.

Is the secondary tip lock adjustable with the torx?
@timtitus2532Күн бұрын
@paulyoder865 I think so, I'm looking at mine right now. It takes a T6 and appears to be adjustable.

I seen on Zach's Stuff that one of those screws are just a bit smaller. That one holds the liner to the scale. He scratched his blade pretty good putting the wrong one in the middle whole. Hopefully that makes sense. Happy Holidays YEAH Ken

Haven't needed to replace an Omega spring yet on any of my Benchmades. I appreciate these disassembly videos. Thanks, Ken.

I really like your videos because you seem to be a down to earth guy. I think you would be a great neighbor. I guess we are neighbors since I am in Oregon. :)

Nice set up, I literally just pulled my bug out apart yesterday for a broken omega spring. An the ones I got to replace it.are way to right so I gotta try pulling it apart again and heating the spring I do have up an bending them a bit. Hopefully that works. If not I'm on the hunt for more omega springs

I just got my fifth “last one”. I love em, I want them, I need them but then I feel so guilty when I run the numbers, I will stop, I have to, there are so much more important things to save the money for….. 🤩🗡️😵💫🗡️😵💫…I don’t know if I can make it, it hurts man, it keeps calling me…it keeps calling me man…

I think your advice is great, buy what you like, and basically what you can afford. I have always liked knives, I even made a few. I also have a few scars to remind me to not get too cocky. After I retired started buying occasionally, Really looking for the "perfect" edc knife. Now it is an addiction. But the collect is my hobby, and for My enjoyment. 😅

Wow! Talk about a throwback moment in history! That was one of my first knives when I got into knife collecting! Of course it's long gone along with my brazen ,praxis. You kept yours in pristine condition!

I’ve come to really like Civivi knives. I’ve got five (5) of them now, with the “Praxis” being my favorite. I’ve never had a chance to see a “Backlash”, so I found your video informative👍
@sonnyrobinson37013 күн бұрын
💯 agree with your assessment of the Civivi Backlash! I have black g10 with blue liners and they pop out drawing your eyes when you see them on the underside of the knife. My advice is to get one new or second hand for a solid Civivi find. Really enjoy seeing your collection and your reasons for why you have them inyour clection.

I believe it is full sized. They have so many options with this model. Blade material, handle material, lock type. They even have a fixed blade version.

I don't normally disassemble my knives. I've had a few bad experiences in the past. I will if they are dirty or there's a problem. It always makes me a little nervous. Beautiful knife Ken, glad you had a positive experience. Thanks

I can relate. I need to take my time and make sure to keep those little screws and springs under control. Only do it when I think it is really necessary.

You gotta love an easy fix like disassembly and reassembly. Is that the Axon mini? I didn't realize they did liner lock versions. I have a reverse tuxedo full size frame lock and love it. Great looking knife. Congrats on your newly fixed Vero.

Could you try putting in a spacer. I can’t remember who said you can buy rubber gaskets and use them for a spacer, but you might wanna try that around the pivot screw. Maybe I don’t know worth a shot. But it looks good to me on this side of the TV. Lol
@Ken_Faulkner3 күн бұрын
I thought it might require something like that. Fortunately, it is working great now. Centered and no blade play. I get to enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed now 😃👍
