Elvis’s career is now two years old. He was now becoming more famous and became a social pariah because he was on TV. In the USA blacks and whites were segregated but Elvis had friends from all ethnicities. He grew up with black people, went to evangelical churches and sang in their choirs. Elvis had a beautiful baritone voice and a great head voice that went into tenor range. He was a unique person and became loved and hated at the same time. Elvis could never reconcile himself with segregation. He sang blues and rock and when he got his freedom from his movie contracts, he included soulful music back into his life and said he would never let people tell him what to do with his music again.

I wonder how many calories he burned every night. His abdomen must have been extremely strong 💪

Very popular in the early seventies. He changed after his movie career and reintroduced himself to the world as a Vegas entertainer. He had multiple hits and went around the country even though his manager lied to him about going overseas. Colonel Tom Parker essentially killed his desire and got him using prescription medication. Elvis was loved by millions but destroyed by people using him for money. The Elvis movie recently made tells the back story of his life and I still reflect on it from time to time. Baz Luhrman did a lot of research into the story of Elvis. Amazing film

Dude, please react to him singing,"Unchained melody, " B6 the Righteous Brothers. " but first listen to the Righteous Brothers and then react to Elvis singing the same thing. Elvis sang this song 2 months before he died. This song was like a signature for his eulogy. I cried every time I saw him singing this song. He was very sick in his health at the tim,but he sang it with all his strength and voice. 😢

Hi Mike I’ve been following you shortly after you started doing these. Without question you are one of my favorite analysts to reaction videos and so open minded and very educated. You put a very special insight into what you’re hearing and seeing the artist perform. If you ever get the chance to hear Elvis’ “The Sound of Your Cry-take 3. I also heard you were thinking about doing some movie reactions of his. C’mon Everybody from the movie Viva Las Vegas is must see with Ann Margaret teaming with him on this song. Keep up the great work you’ve been doing and you’re much appreciated

Just discovered you a couple days ago. Your observations are so astute. Really commendable for someone who is relatively new ( I think you said that a few videos ago? ) to Elvis' artistry. So many people get lost in the looks, the glamour, the " HE IS THE KING" mythology, that very few focus on his artistry. Excellent reactions to this complex artist and icon.

The great Swamp Rocker by Tony Joe White. Elvis owns it of course, he has the dirty sensuality bang on.

This is possibly my favorite Elvis performance from his later years (post 1973). He was in point at a time in which he clearly struggled during this final tour otherwise. Brilliant.

I get goosebumps and tears on that last note! TCB ⚡👑 Would love for you to react to Elvis...King of Kindness or the short version of Elvis...A Generous Heart.

I'd like to add that the whole performance of the Live at the Moore show is very good. Songs like "Real Thing" which is a more unpopular song shows the versatility of singing and band performance. No two songs sound a like with Alice.

Another great reaction, I cry every time I see these performances of the 77 concerts, he wasn't in good health, but didn't want to disappoint his fans. But he never lost his beautiful smile and his vocal rage was still outstanding,I don't care what size or shape he was I would have given anything to see this amazing man live on stage, but Elvis still lives on through your reactions, thank you so much. ❤❤❤
