In law class, which I barely remember, isn't targeting and killing officials of an enemy nation a war crime? just curious.

Thank you very much for your encouragement. This is the rewarding side of teaching: some students always remember you. Early next year, I shall have 12 books out in print. On 11 December i go to India 40 years after my first visit to take the last pics for the human rights book and to donate photos I took of Mother Teresa to her tomb-side museum. Incidentally, I read you are interested in Brunel's legacy. I spent the last 5 years writing a unique book: On The Tracks of IKB that will be available early next year. Fully mapped, 210 pictures with a daily tablulation of his life. There will be a unique formatted booklet I K Brunel: The Nuts & Bolts. Stay chipper! Michael T

@@michaelturner7949 sounds brilliant, will certainly check out your books, and look forward to following your travels, there is a lot of interest especially post lockdown in railway history (every other TV presenter seems to be doing a railway themed TV show these days!) Always had a keen interest in the railway history, alot to be researched in the Bridgwater area, with the docks/ S&D to Highbridge to Edington and onto Bath and the old GWR and great to see your content, keep in touch!

A high season, high ROI option, where the investment was made long long ago historically, so its a no brainer for the local economist.

Thank you for your video. It's a serious issue and not easily solved. One solution is to close the ports to mega-cruise ships or to at least limit their numbers, as for example in the fjords of Norway where a narrow inlet can be clogged by several diesel spewing cruise ships that pollute and spoil the experience for both locals and tourists. Not so long ago, I was in Avignon and Vaison la Romaine. Both were so crowded that it was impossible to do or see anything. I'm US military, so I drove back to Ramstein Air Base and canceled my tour of the south of France in favor of visiting out-of-the-way towns on the way home in France and the Pfalz area of southwest Germany. I began traveling as a teenager in the mid-1960's as a private in the US Army Europe. The difference between the 60's and now is shocking. Unrelated to "tourism" is the collapse of the economies of western Europe. Paris is a poster-child for a city that is unlivable for the middle-class and a nightmare for many tourists. The homelessness is frightening. The number of encampments of migrants from the Middle East and Africa can't be comprehended until you're confronted by the aggressive panhandling and theft. By the way, it seems that a sizable percentage of the migrants in France, Italy and Sweden have the UK as the desired final destination. The economist Alex Krainer (check out his videos and podcasts) is forecasting the collapse of the UK as an economic entity. I'm sure your viewers are familiar with the debacle that is Germany in its era of economic collapse. thanks again. Arizona Luke, a Cowboy in uniform .

The catholics knew what they were doing. Similar thing happened in Canada between the French and the indigenous Indians. Protestants came and ruined everything. They tried to annihilate the French-natives by sending them the fever swamps in the south where they remain today in Louisiana. Viva cristo rey!
